Items used on this creation are:

What a fun challenge idea ... please stop by Our Challenge Blog and join in the fun!  Also be sure to be inspired by the creations made by my PPCC team mates (links on my sidebar)!!

In an effort to "inspire" you more, The Sisterhood of Crafters has changed our challenge line up and evidentally it's working!  AWESOME!  We've had wonderful participation and AMAZING creations!  Thanks so much everyone!!

Today's challenge is called: SIMPLY HANDMADE ... create a homemade gift for someone.  Well, it just so happens that I have an 'ole high school friend who is celebrating a birthday later this month and her family is having a surprise party for her ... to which I am invited.
I thought a monogrammed set of cards and a Post-It Note holder for her desk would be a nice gift idea.  She doesn't have any of my cards and I think she'll enjoy the fact that they are personalized!

The card set was made using K&Co. (Ancestry) designer paper, Martha Stewart Butterfly & Floral Vine punches, Nestabilities classic circle dies and the JustRite Monogram Stamper Kit.

The Post-It Note holder uses Webster's Pages (Sweet As Cherry Pie) designer paper, Nestabilities classic circles, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and the Bind-It All.

We would love to have you pop on over to OUR BLOG ... check out the challenge details and come play along.  While you are there, check out what my Sistahs have created for your inspiration ... this is one VERY TALENTED group of ladies!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you're having an AMAZING day!

Hugs,
Darlene

Sharing the fun ...

I found time this weekend to play with a few of the many digi images I have colored and ready to create with, laying on my work table.  I would like to share those with you this afternoon!  All of these artists can be found over on CDAC (Crafter's Digital Art Center).  You can either click on GROUPS tab to find each artist's individual group ... or you can find them on the main page ... be sure to check out that Main Page ... there are NEW things happening all the time!!!  I hope you'll become a part of this fun network ... there are some AMAZING digi artists out there and to get you started in the digi world ... there is a TON of freebies being offered.  If you have questions ... just let me (or any of the other board members) know ... we'll help you out!!

First is a creation using the cute little Kittie by Robyn's Fetish ...
Someone over on CDAC (not saying WHO) mentioned that with the blue under the kittie's feet ... it appears maybe she had an "accident" ... please be assured that was NOT my intention!  Although she does make a valid point ... LOL!

How about this fun PURSE digi by Shelly's Images ...

It's the perfect time of the year for CHERRIES ... doesn't this cherry image by Doodle Pantry look good enough to eat!?!  Gotta love that Crystal Effects to give your creation that "real" factor!

And last by not least ... time to get started on those holiday cards and I am using this adorable digi from Angela over at Sew Many Cards called "Eris Christmas Lights".  I decided to get a little creative with my Nestabilites Nestled Tree dies.  This is actually all on the front ... the holiday wishes are on the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If by chance you have questions on any of these creations, please do not hesitate to ask!  I hope you will take a moment and pop on over to CDAC and check out some of these artists ... they are amazing!  I wish I could draw ... I'm still in the "stick figure" phase!  LOL!!

Hugs to you all!

Crafty Secrets #126 and Sew Many Cards

Good Morning Everyone!

I have a very busy day planned but before I get started I wanted to share a few creations with you.  First is my card for the Crafty Secrets challenge posted yesterday on the SCS Crafty Secrets forum.  Our hostess, Lori Lynn, has asked us to use the colors Red, White & Blue but in a non-patriotic way.  The girls are really coming up with some amazing creations.  You can view them HERE in the CSSC126 gallery.  This is what I came up with.

This adorable image comes from the Crafty Secrets Homemade Booklet and the sentiment is Inkadinkado.  Aren't these kids adorable!!!  If you look closely, it is bordered with Diamond Stickles to give it that little added sparkle.

Next are a couple of cards created using adorable digi images from Sew Many Cards & Digital Stamps.  Angela is so talented and her creations are too cute!!

First is a fun image called "Eris watering flower on a spring day".  I actually was able to use up some of the scraps laying about on this creation and am very pleased with the outcome.

Next is this sweet hummingbird image called "Halo the Hummingbird" and I think I will send this to "someone special ... you know who you are" ... who is always going in 10 different directions at the same time!!

I've colored my image using Prismacolor markers then after cutting it out with a Fiskars swivel craft knife, I layered it over a panel of white which was cut out with the Nestabilities Blossom die.  Faux stitching was done with a fine tip black marker ... as was the stitching on the sentiment panel.

Okay ... play time is over for now!  I'd better get my work done!  The weather here in N.E. Ohio is in the low 70s (perfect for working outdoors ... in my opinion) so I'd better get to it!!  Happy Day to you all and thanks so much for stopping by!

It's Time To CRAFT . . .

SHEW!  Now that the "big party weekend" is over, it's time for me to get back to my crafting cave!!

Today I decided to create a few cards using some of the images available from various artists over on the new community called "Crafters Digital Art Center".  Please be sure to check it out ... AND WHY NOT JOIN IN!!!  Let me know if you need more info!!

This first creation is an image from "Sew Many Cards & digital stamps".  I added the link to her store ... but you can also find her HERE on the CDAC community.

This is a "freebie" offered up over on the CDAC community by "McMahon Five Designs".  I have also used a Stampscapes (church) image and Verve (sentiment) to create this encouragement card.  HERE is the CDAC community link.

My last card to share with you today is a digital image from "Priscillastyles".  (creator of Midnight Madness & CDAC)   You know I LOVE vintage and I just HAD TO HAVE this teapot!  You can find other images by Priscilla HERE and her CDAC page HERE.  Please check out her designs ... they're awesome!

Before I forget ... *Wink *Wink Ink also has CDAC page now ... be sure to check that out while you are visiting!  She just got started so PLEASE feel free to join in on the fun!  (Challenge #3 going on all month at the BLOG ... don't forget ... you'll want to play along for FREE images - possibly even the BRAND NEW "Grandma's Parlor Collection" ... how awesome would that be!!)

OKAY ... time to go color a few more digis before dear, sweet hubby gets home for dinner!!  (leftovers anyways, LOL)  Thanks for stopping by ...
