Sassy Studio Designs Challenges

Hello my friends and Happy Sunday Afternoon!

I was thrilled to be last week's winner for the PCP (Papercraft Planet) Sassy Studio Design challenge and decided to 'take the time' out of my busy weekend to play along again this week.  I have combined both of their challenges.  The one at PCP is "What's Your Style" and the Dare to be Sassy Challenge at the Sassy Studio Design Blog is the Three "R's" ... ribbon, roses & rhinestones.

My favorite style is 'vintage' and one of the techniques I enjoy (but don't do often enough) is paper piecing.  I have combined both for this creation.  This adorable Sassy Studio image is called "Cheerful Chelsea".
Here are the products I used for my card:
Papers:  white cs, light & hot pink cs, black cs and FabScraps 8x8 'High Tea' design paper
Accessories:  Prismacolor markers, SU Watercolor Pencils/blender pen, Wild Orchid Crafts Roses, Recollections adhesive rhinestones, Offray corrugated ribbon, Cheery Lynn Designs B117S Fanciful Flourish Small, Marianne LR0235 die, gold pilot marker

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Wild Orchid Challenge #67 - Coming Up Roses
Dream Valley Challenges - Girls, Girls, Girls
The Squirrel and The Fox - Anything Goes
All Sorts Challenge - Flower Power

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you're having a wonderful, relaxing Sunday afternoon.  Almost time for the football games so I must get moving!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #72

It's time again for another AMAZING sketch over at Midnight Madness.  It's always a thrill from week to week to check out the "sneak peek" then if you have the time you can get a "head-start" on the next week's challenge. What a fabulous idea!!

Today I have used Priscillastyles beautiful butterfly digi for my focus image.  This beautiful image is one of my very favorite images of Priscilla's!  It is so much fun to color and can be used for just about ANY occasion!  For this creation I've used  Twinkling H20 to color, then covered with Crystal Effects.

The green silk vine ribbon was an RAK and worked perfectly for this layout.  The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and purchased through my friend Joan at Joan's Gardens.  I added a touch of Diamond Stickles here & there just to add that special sparkle.  Hope you are inspired by my creation and join in the fun at Midnight Madness this week ... be sure to check out the DT creations ... they are ALWAYS JAW DROPPIN' AMAZING!!!

I'm also entering this creation into the following challenges:
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Sparkle & Glitter
Paper Sundaes: Fabulous Fall - use fall or Halloween colors
Sundays with Crissy - Sparkle & Shine
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge -  Anything Goes
Stamp Something - September Digi Days
Cute Card Thursday - Tweet & a Flutter

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  It's going to be hot & humid today with a rain storm coming in for tomorrow!  Sounds like a good time to head to the "crafting cave" ... catch you all later!
Hugs . . .

The Sisterhood & Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
Again today I am combining challenges in my effort to get caught up from being away last week.

Today we have a new challenge over at The Sisterhood and it is "Anything But A Card".   We are going to be "mixing it up" a bit at the Sisterhood with some fun new challenge ideas so be sure to stop in each week and check 'em out.  Here is what I created today:

As I said, this creation covers two challenges ... the second one is the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge which is all about "Birthdays".    What better gift for a birthday (at least for the ladies) than a beautiful trinket box filled with chocolates!!

This was a plain brown box from the $1 bin at Michael's and after rummaging through my designer papers, I decided this K&Co. Ancestry paper was exactly what I had in mind.  The image is from the Crafty Secrets *new* Seasonal Booklet and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.  The beautiful silk ribbon & lace were an RAK from Joan at Joan's Gardens.  Joan has a supply of GORGEOUS ribbons and this May Arts silk is just so beautiful!  My sentiment stamp is by Impression Obsession.

Thanks to you all for stopping by and showing me support!  I love creating and sharing it with you!  Here's wishing you a fun-filled happy day!!  Catch you later ... it's back to work for now!!

Hugs to you all!
