It's All About You ...

WOW!!!  Happy LAST day of April!
I'm so excited to be leaving at week's end for a Trip of a Lifetime with my
wonderful husband so you won't be seeing many cards on my blog throughout
the month of May but I will try to share a few photos of our adventures.

But, today I have one more card to share for April and it's
a card based on the Less is More Challenge over on 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Blog.

I simply used a scrap of designer paper which was left over from making 'tea cups' for a recent show and added a pretty edge by using the Sue Wilson Gemini Dies - Phoenix.  I don't use these dies nearly enough.

I added a sentiment using a very old DRS Designs stamp and a few Martha Stewart butterflies that were in my stash.
Quick!  Easy! and Beautiful!

Other challenges I'd like to share in today are:

Thanks for stopping by and have a FABULOUS week ahead!

Happy Everything

Happy Sunday Friends!
Today's card was created to satisfy a few challenges available out in blogland and was great fun to create!
The challenges I'm referring to are ...

I went with Yellow, Free & Punch/Die-Cut

The background paper is actually a scrap I had left over from making 'tea cups' for the show I did a couple of weeks ago.  For the corners, I used the Yvonne Creations 'Spring-tastic Corner'

Yvonne Creations - Dies - Spring-tastic - Corner

I used a yellow Spectrum Noir alcohol marker to color the focus flower and used Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops for the centers.

For my sentiment, I used the Penny Black 'You Are Awesome' #51-333
which I die cut three times and glued together for dimension.
Finally, my bee stamp is a VERY old stamp from a Stampin' Up set called 'Merci'.

I hope you've been having a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and As always ...

Thanks a Bunch

Happy Weekend All!

I needed a quick thank you card so checked out a few
sketch challenges and here's what I came up with.

The sketch I chose to create with today is from the

I rarely make square cards (although I love how they look),
but I sell a lot of my cards and since the postage is more on square cards
here in the USA, many ladies will pass over my square cards and go
more for the A6 and A7 cards I create.   So, today's card is A6 in size
but follows this beautiful sketch layout.

for my focus & sentiment panels.

My corner embellishments are Nuvo White Crystal Drops.

The background paper is actually an off cut scrap from some
tissue box covers I was making for a recent show, the image was printed
from the internet, ribbon was from Michaels and my sentiment
is a stamp set by Penny Black.

HAPPY

HAPPY
Friday Everyone!
Counting down the days!  One week from today,
hubby and I will be 'flying on a jet plane' and I can't wait!  LOL

But before I go, I will have a few more cards to share.
Today's card was inspired by yet another sketch challenge and
this time it's over at The Paper Players Challenge Blog.

Here is their fun sketch ...

I actually used a few scraps I had tucked inside my Doodlebug 'Fairy Tales' paper pad
to create this fun card.

Doodlebug - Paper Pad - 6

For my focus shape, I used the largest balloon in this Impression
Obsession 'Balloons' die set and die cut one of the cute images available
in this paper pad.
Impression Obsession - Dies - Balloons

My large HAPPY was laying on my work table.  It was cut for another
project but then not used so I thought it looked cute on today's card creation.
It comes from the Poppystamps 'Jumbled Happy Birthday' set #1472.

And, the 'Birthday' comes from the Sue Wilson 'Mini Expressions' die set.
Sue Wilson Designs - Mini Expressions - Happy Birthday
I love mixing & matching my word dies ... adds a little something different I think!

I've popped up my balloon using Scotch dimensional tape so I could tuck my HAPPY word underneath.   This was so much fun and took only minutes to create since I was using scraps and off cuts!  LOVE when that happens!  LOL

Welcome Little One

Hello All!
I hope you're having a wonderful week!
Our international vacation begins a week from tomorrow
and my excitement is definitely building!  LOL

Today's card was inspired by a sketch I spotted over at the CD Sunday Challenge Blog.
Even though I won't be entering it there since I did not follow their 'CD rule',
I still enjoyed the sketch and created a fun baby card
using some of my new Carta Bella design papers & ephemera!

Carta Bella - Paper Pad - 6

My focus sentiment panel comes from a coordinating Ephemera pack
and I took the liberty of matting it with black card stock to make
it stand out a bit more.  I created the notched corners by using a 1"
circle punch.

My flowers are OLD off cuts that were left over from a demo for Heartfelt Creations.
They had been stamped and white embossed so I simply rubbed
over them with Stampin' Up Cameo Coral ink and added
Nuvo  Apple Green Crystal Drops for the centers.

Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Aple Green

Quick, Easy and so much fun!

Have a great day my friends and thanks for stopping by!

Holy Cow!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
OMG I had so much fun making today's card!

I spotted the challenge over at the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge Blog
where this is the inspiration photo ...

LOL ... being a country girl raised on a small farm,
how could I not join in this fun challenge!!

I knew I had several of the animal dies offered by Elizabeth Craft and was hoping I had purchased 'Brownie the Cow' and thankfully I had!  And it just so happened that in the same paper pack I used yesterday (the Paper Studio - the Blue Barn) there was this sheet of paper with cows on it!  YEP ... it was all meant to be!

I computer generated the sentiment for the front of my card to go with this fun My Sentiments Exactly stamped inside sentiment.  Sorry ... couldn't help myself!

I hope you are having fun today!

Happy Happy

Happy Monday All!
Today's card was created with two challenges in mind and I'm
coming in just under the wire on both of them!

The two challenges I'm referring to are:
This is her creation ...

and, the Color challenge over on CAS Colours & Sketches.
Mind you ... I JUST noticed this is not only color but also supposed to be Clean & Simple,
which my card is not!  Oh well, I will share it none the less, I appreciate the color inspiration!

The paper I have used for this creation is a new paper pack
I believe I purchased from JoAnn.com called Mintay by Karola 'Celebrations'.
I stacked the Happy sentiment for dimension
and added small bits of dimensional tape to my sprigs on the right side.

I still have LOTS to do before leaving for our long holiday
on May 4th so I'd better get out of here and get busy.

Prayers ...

Hello my friends and Happy Sunday!
Today I have a card to share that was created for a couple of challenges I spotted out in Blogland!

My color palette comes from the photo inspiration challenge over on Just Add Ink.
Check out their fabulous mood board.

And my design comes from the wonderful sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.
If your mojo is lacking ... simply do as I did today ... find a sketch that grabs your attention and a color challenge or photo inspiration challenge.  Your card will almost come together by itself!

The background papers I have used today are from the Paper Studio 'the Blue Barn' paper pack and VERY OLD Pixie Press 12x12 paper pack.  The sentiments are a 'Prayers stamp & die set' by Hero Arts (DC183).  I die cut the Prayers die 3 times and glued them together for additional dimension.

Confession time once again!  LOL
I had originally stamped the 'and hugs coming your way' portion directly to the background paper but in my haste messed it up so I had no choice but to stamp it onto a scrap piece of white card stock and die cut it using the matching Tutti Designs 'Scalloped Stitched Nesting Squares'  to my Tutti Designs 'Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circles' in my design.

TUTTI-419 Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circles
TUTTI-420 Scalloped Stitched Nesting Squares
That's what I get for not taking the time to do my stamping using my Tim Holtz stamping platform.  This wouldn't have happened if I would have just taken that extra minute!  Ugh ... haste makes waste!

I hope you're having a fabulous weekend!  We are to have another sunny day so I'm hoping to mow our yard for the first time this spring!  Then need to treat it for dandelions before those pesky (but cute) little yellow flowers pop up all over the place!  LOL
