Double D - Rose Garden

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Diane is hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is
ROSE GARDEN
Here is the fabulous mood board she has created to help inspire you . . .
I was amazed when I was looking through my 'goods' to see
I really don't have much in the line of actual ROSES ... (interesting)
BUT I did discover I had an OLD Stampin' Up set
called Fifth Avenue Floral which I felt would work just fine!

I actually stamped and fussy cut THREE panels.
Colored only the one using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
and then proceeded in stacking the three panels together
and tucking my Cheery Lynn Designs rose leaves
in between the panels.  I die cut the leaves from green card stock
then sponged a bit of red along the edges (that's what the leaves
on my new rose bushes look like so mimicked them).
Other dies used are:
Tutti Designs HAPPY and BIRTHDAY

Tutti Designs - Word Set - Happy
Tutti Designs - Word Set - Birthday

Jeanine's Art - Dies - Classic Butterflies & Flowers - Butterfly Corner
I fussy cut the butterfly from this die because
I liked the 'lacy' look of it ... lol.
Check out this beautiful stamp Diane has up for grabs to one lucky random draw winner.

So, come play along using our theme and YOU might be our random winner!!
Be sure to pop over to our challenge blog and check out what the design team ladies have created ... they are amazingly talented and I'm sure you'll find more wonderful inspiration!
   Hope to see you there!

As always . . .

  7. Interesting... you did not have much in the way or roses. Me either. Now why is that? I love roses. Of course, I have some now because I made some for this challenge. I am glad you found this one and colored it so beautifully. The butterfly is the perfect addition.
