Hello Friends
It's time for a new challenge over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.
But before I share my creation with you, we at DRU
have some exciting news to share ... check this out!
Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in USA & Canada called Didi Crafts.
It will ship to both the US and Canada. Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different. Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I've created two cards using the same dies but 'mixing it up' a bit.
The dies used today are:
My original idea was to use the deep purple (looks black doesn't it) to cut out
my frame then reinsert a few of the balloons.
But then I decided to die cut it again from a deep blue card stock for the frame and use the deep purple panel on the inside (as seen above).
This left me with bits & pieces of both so I decided to create TWO cards and as stated ... mix it up a bit!
As you can see, on the 2nd card I 'snipped' the word belated from my sentiment die which makes it a 'current' birthday wishes creation. Isn't it fabulous when you can use one die in different ways!
I hope you will come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.
There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month
and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize
to the Dies R Us Store. For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.
Hope to see you there!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Both cards are lovely! I'm always so impressed with your die usage and today is no different. Well done Darlene!
ReplyDeleteFabulous use of the die to create such beautifully designed cards...and two no less...you are the creative queen today!!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful cards and these colors are just perfect for masculine cards, which I always struggle with. That's a great tip about snipping a portion of the sentiment die off to extend its use. So clever!
ReplyDeleteBoth these are adorable and I love how you used both the negative and positive pieces to create these birthday cards.
ReplyDeleteThey are both so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and fun set of cards, Darlene. Love those balloons and the colours you used.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
Big hugs,

ReplyDeleteI do love the reverse dies. This brand is new to me, but I'm intrigued. Smart to not waste a thing and get two awesome cards in the process!
ReplyDeleteAwesome set of cards Darlene! Love the balloons...some fun dies!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the color scheme of both cards! They're very festive and rich looking with all those colorful balloons and pretty background! Nice job on both!
