Hope your day is going well and thanks so much for stopping by!
Here's the card I have to share with you today.
I created this card over the weekend while scrolling through Paper Playful and spotted a few challenges I thought would be fun. I began with the fun new challenge at AAA Cards ... check out the theme ... fun huh!?!
I went with these particular colors which I 'thought' would fit yet another challenge but when I went to that particular challenge blog, the challenge had ended and a sketch challenge was now their theme. Oh well ... I still like it since it fits the summertime, beachy theme I was going with.
When cutting my white A6 card base, this is 1 of the 2 panels I had remaining and since I knew it would be the perfect length for my side piece, I simply grabbed the required colors from my stack of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks and sponged on the colors. I actually save all those 'cut offs' into my scrap box so I did two panels ... using the other panel to die cut my Memory Box (98332) sandal border. (I cut off the last two [green] flip flops from the border and placed them on the inside).
The palm tree was actually sitting on the work table from a previous project and as you can see, was just perfect. That die comes from the Sue Wilson 'Tropical Collection - Island Paradise' die set.
