They had an awesome Christmas release last month and I'm having great fun getting
a head start on my holiday cards.
Be sure to check out the JULY CHRISTMAS RELEASE!
My cards today were created using
My Gingerbread House was die cut from a scrap panel of kraft card stock and is showcased on a panel die cut from the
The fencing panel was in my stash as well as the sentiment sticker.
A touch of snow was created using Nuvo White Crystal Drops.
This second sample was die cut in reverse (color wise). I used white card stock to cut the gingerbread House then glued it down to a scrap of brown card stock and carefully cut around the house with scissors ... cutting 'just under' the white die cut panel.
I think it gives the illusion of white icing piped onto of gingerbread. What do you think?
Have you ever made a gingerbread house at holiday time?
That's a LOT OF WORK!! LOL

Beautiful cards with that die.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, cute and fun -- both cards! These are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAwesome die cuts!! Super pretty cards.
ReplyDeleteI do love the gingerbread feel to that die, like the dotted background to the first and the icicle border with the second!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card with great patterned paper for the background. Thanks for joining us at CHNC Patterned Paper Challenge this month.
ReplyDeleteLove both cards, but you're right the second one does give the illusion of a gingerbread house with the icing. I always buy a kit for each of my children and they go to town with it. The one loves the decorating while the other loves the architecture involved. Both always come out beautifully, but I enjoy the brother/sister banter while they're busy building them :-) I guess you can say it's a Christmas tradition at our house. Bear in mind that they're 30 and 24 year olds :-) It's still so much fun to watch them and listen to them :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lena
