Anchors Away!

 Hello friends ... Happy Friday!

I hope you have a fun weekend planned!
As for me, I'll probably be hanging out in the craft room
trying to get caught up lol.

Now that I'm feeling better, I've been wanting to get back to joining in on some of the fun challenges out there in blogland.  So day's card was created for the 'Nautical' theme over on the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog.

I have so many stamps/dies that I could have used today but I spotted this Scrap Man 'Pirate Ship' which I've had in my stash and had yet to use.  I sponged a little TH distress oxide ink in the corner to 'anchor' my pirate ship.

The sentiment comes from a very old JustRite stamp set called 'Anchors Away'.
Here's a peek at the inside of my card and I've used a couple more stamps from that JustRite set then hand stitched around the outside of the panel.

Other challenges to share in:

Creative Fingers Challenge #236 - ATG
My Time to Craft Challenge #487 - Ocean/Sea - beside/on or under
Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #434 - Any Occasion

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you have found inspiration in today's creation.

As always,

  1. Darlene: Your card is wonderful! The ship has such impact and giving the soft inked blue background to be the faux water helps to 'anchor' it on the card! And keeps everything CAS style! Thanks for including MTTC's #487 in your links today! --Becca/DT
