Hello Friends!
Happy Saturday!
It's time for a new sketch over on the SKETCH SATURDAY Challenge Blog
and, once again we have an added option which is:
DISTRESS SOMETHING
Here's today's sketch . . .
Okay ... lol ... I went a little 'crazy' today but I still think it turned out pretty good! What do you think? Distressing (other that distress inks) is something I do very little of so bear with me!
I've used kraft paper as well as woven textured paper for today's card.
Added distress oxide inks to give it a more 'weathered' look.
Added some Gold splatter (old and spray didn't work so I just splattered it LOL).
The gears die is an oldie but goodie from Frantic Stamper (I've had this for YEARS).
For the background embossed panel I've used the Taylored Expressions 'Chevron' EF.
Won't you come join the fun at Sketch Saturday?
As always, thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and say Hello!
Wow, Dar! I would never have thought of using those elements with that sketch. It is amazing! Definitely squirreling the design thought away in my brain for future cards. I love it! Your textures are eye-catching, especially with the bursts of yellow! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteYour distressing looks perfect to me, Darlene, and those old timey gears are perfect for the circles element. Spot on! How fun!
ReplyDeletelove how you used these gears and how you arranged them, so cool!
