It's Fussy and Fancy Challenge Time

Hello Everyone!
It's time once again for a new challenge over at the
 Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge
This new challenge is hosted by Annie and the theme she has chosen is

A DIFFERENT FOLD OR SHAPED CARD

Our sponsor is Wild Orchid Crafts
Since I don't seem to be very good at creating 'shaped' cards, I decided
to go with a 'fancy fold' for today's creation.  This card template is actually  a pack
of 10 that I purchase several years ago and honestly had forgotten I
had them until I started looking around to see what I could do that was 'different'.

This fold is called 'Reverse Explosion' and as I stated, it came precut & scored
in a pack that I purchased quite some time ago.
I chose not to cover all the spaces ... and used a coordinating
pattern for the inside triangles that I did decorate.
The designer paper I used is from the BoBunny 'Altitude' 6x6 pack.

The die cut sentiment is from Impression Obsession
and is called 'Merry Christmas Flourish' (DIE446).  The deer are part of the
die set but die cut separately so I was able to position them on
either side of the main sentiment.
A touch of sparkle was added using Stickles 'Star Dust'
around the focus panel as well as 'dotted' around to
mimic the sparkle of snow.
As you can see, I also used one of the triangle accent panels to adorn my matching cream colored envelopes.

Double D Challenge - Traditional Christmas Colors

Welcome back dear friends!
Today begins a new challenge over on the

Team Darlene is hosting today and the theme we are to follow is:

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS
(Red, Green & White . . . Gold is Optional)

Check out this wonderful tile board we are inspired by today  . . .

I must admit I am a tradition Christmas colors sorta girl ...
My sisters & I decorate our homes SO DIFFERENTLY!  My older sister does a lot
of WHITE & GOLD  ... very regal ...  where my younger sister is more 'fashion forward'
with PINKS & TEALS.  Interesting huh!!

So here's what I've created today:

I actually created this card by solely using off cuts from other projects.
(Love when you can do that!)

The two different die cut ovals fit nicely together in size so I positioned dimensional
tape between them to make space to add my red satin ribbon loops.

When I purchased this Sue Wilson Christmas Angel I couldn't wait to see how it
looked cut so quickly die cut it from gold foil paper then had it sitting on my worktable
just waiting for the right time to use it ... today was the day!  Isn't she beautiful?

I hope you'll come join in our 'Traditional Christmas Color' challenge fun and by all means pop over to see what the design teams have created!  Such talented designers!!

OH!  and did you know there's also a prize being offered . . .
yep!  It's this fabulous Impression Obsession 'Merry Christmas' sentiment.

More Gift Card Holders

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Saturday will be my last craft show of the year so I'm busy this week
creating more of the items that sold at the show a couple weeks ago.
Besides my cards, various little chocolate nugget items, tissue box covers and
of course this time of year, gift card holders are good to have to sell.

Here are a few gift card holders I've made this week to replenish my stock . . .

By using off cuts of holiday paper and some fabulous holiday dies
from the Dies R Us Store ... I was able to put these together quite quickly.

The dies I've used today are:

These gift card holders are quick & easy to create.
Here's the details:
Cut your card stock 5 x 8 1/2" ... score at 3 1/2" and 7"
You can get TWO gift card holders from one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock.
Use narrow scor tape to adhere the 1 1/2" pocket for the gift card.
Decorate and VIOLA!

Here are a few more using the following dies:

Adding a little glitter here and there is always a wonderful holiday finishing touch!
Why not make some for yourself ...
Of course they don't always have to be for Christmas!
They are great for ANY TIME you want to give a gift card to a friend or family member!
I keep Birthday gift card holders in my stash for the shows also ...
but it seems the holidays are a FOR SURE time for gift card giving!

Challenges to share in today:
Imagine That!  Creative Playground Challenge - Christmas is Coming! (12/2)
Crafting with Friends Challenge #31 - Anything Goes (11/19)

A Butterfly Birthday

Happy Monday Everyone!
Between working on holiday cards and goodies for an upcoming show,
I decided to breakaway and create something just for fun using
a few dies I had laying on my table that I received earlier last week
from the Dies R Us Store.

The dies I'm referring to are the Carabelle Art Cut 'In the Nature' #AC60008

Carabelle Art Cut Die - In The Nature

Poppystamps - Dies - Petal Ribbon

During my creating time I decided to have a look at what
challenges were out there in blogland that I could aim this card towards and I found that
over on the Butterfly Challenge their current challenge is: #66 Butterflies + Q is for Quotes and/or Quick Silver
I'm going with the 'Quick Silver' approach using Silver Stickles across the upper left top & side as well as a few (Martha Stewart 3-in-1 butterfly punch) Silver Metallic butterflies.

A few other challenges I'd like to share in are:
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #45 - Anything Goes
Just Us Girls Challenge #369 - Metallic
Brown Sugar Challenge #224 - Anything Goes

Well I guess I'd better get back to work ...
But before I go, here's a peek at the inside of my card:

Tutti Designs - Christmas Sparkle

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today it's my turn to share a new, inspirational creation using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.  Tutti has come out with so many amazing dies recently and just wait until you see what they will have to share in the near future!
Today I've created a holiday card that even though difficult to see in my photo, is full of sparkle.

These dies are so beautiful on their own, you really don't need to add a lot to create a beautiful holiday card that is also easy to mail.    Today I've used the Tutti Designs 'Ice Crystal Fir' die #TUTTI-124.

I first die cut my image using white card stock.
Next I covered it with a glue pen and sprinkled glitter dust over the entire image.

I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the center of the snowflakes on the die image as well as my background mat to mimic snow.  Again I sprinkled glitter here, there & obviously everywhere!  LOL
A little holiday color with my ribbon ... a sentiment and my card was ready to share.

Dies R Us - Snowy Christmas

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a creation made for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog!
I'm sharing yet another holiday creation designed using dies from the Dies R Us Store.

I would love to be creating more cards right now using butterflies, birds, flowers ... you know ... summery type things.  But with the holidays just right around the corner, I really need to stay focused and get my holiday cards made and ready for the postman.  We only have 2 1/2 months before it's present opening time and time flies so I'm doing my best at STAYING FOCUSED!!

Poppystamps - Dies - Wintergreen Border (NEW)Impression Obsession - Dies - Small Snowflake SetToday I've used two die sets.  My border across the top of my card is the Poppystamps 'Wintergreen Border' POPPY-1574 and my snowflakes are from the Impression Obsession 'Small Snowflake Set' DIE100.

I found this sweet image in my stash and thought it would work perfectly with my 'snowy' scene.  A touch of sparkle was added across the top as well as in the centers of my snowflakes (though hard to see) and I created background 'snow' with a white gelly roll pen.
Quick ... Easy ... Beautiful!

NO! Not yet!!

Hello Everyone!
I've been busy creating more 'goodies' for an upcoming show
and of course the usual cleaning, shopping, laundry, ...
you know domestic stuff!
But I thought I'd take a moment and look through the challenges that are
out there and create a card just for fun.

One of the theme's I saw pop up several times was WINTER ...
hence the title of this blog post!  LOL
So here's what I've created for your viewing pleasure today.

The first challenge that caught my attention was the
I love making white on white cards ... but totally dislike trying to
get a good photo!  Grrrr!

Then there were those WINTER themed challenges I mentioned . . .
like the one at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog . . .
another one that caught my eye was the

This card is SO pretty IRL but so difficult to capture it's
sparkle and beauty in a photo ...
I know it's a camera setting but I just don't have the time (or patience)
to sit, read through and figure out what the heck they
are talking about through all the online instructions for my camera!
I'm more of a 'hands on' instruction gal ...
One of these days I'll take a class or just 'winging it' and doing the best I can.

Well I'd better get back to work.
My mom is coming this afternoon and staying the night with us.
Hubby generously offered to help her figure out what was best for her in regards to her 2017 health insurance.  She has had the same insurance through my dad's work for the past 50 years and now they are dropping that offer and she has to find one on her own ... difficult for us let alone our elderly generation.
AND it's all online ... she knows nothing about that stuff ... thank God for my smart hubby!!

Thanks for stopping by today ...
Have a wonderful weekend ahead and as always . . .
