SHOUTING Happy Birthday

Hello Friends!
LOL ... anytime I do something typed in capital letters,
I feel like I'm SHOUTING (hence the title) LOL!

Today's card is kind of 'In Your Face' with the bold colors and letters,
but that's what was needed for the WORD WEEK challenge at the 'Just Us Girls' challenge blog.  If you follow my blog, then you saw my 1st card for this challenge on Tuesday and I promised I'd be back today with the card I had originally started to design before switching gears.

Tuesday I went with BOLD COLORS ...
Today I'm going with BOLD WORDS (and colors too I guess).

My word happy is from the Pink & Main 'happy' die set.

Pink & Main - Dies - Happy

The word birthday is from the Poppystamps 'Jumbled Happy Birthday' die set.  I die cut the word from a scrap of black card stock then adhered it to a scrap of white card stock and fussy cut around it to give me the same look as the word happy.

The background paper is from a 6x6 Authentique paper pack called 'Cheerful'.

The double pink layered flower in the corner is by K&Company.  I found a couple packs of these flowers a few weeks ago while doing some clean up!  LOL ... maybe I need to clean up a little more often ... who knows what other goodies I might run across!!

Bold and beautiful! The paper pack is aptly named because it sure is cheerful! You did a nice job of cutting out that "birthday". They look like they were meant for each other. Funny what you find when you clean up, isn't it? I should look through a few drawers I haven't peeked in lately. Awesome card for a birthday, Darlene!

It is very cheerful, the flower paper is a great backdrop for your bold sentiment, great job with the fussy cutting. Nice find with the flower :) I know my room could use to be cleaned up, maybe I would find my Penny black stamp I lost

My goodness, Darlene, what a wonderfully bright and cheerful background for your very bold "Happy Birthday". What a clever way to make the die-cut "Birthday" appear to be from the same die set as the "happy"! I applaud the effort, it really does look great on the card, but am amazed that you fussy cut the word. Well done! After reading the name of the paper pack from which you took the background, I have to say it's very appropriately named. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
