SHOUTING Happy Birthday

Hello Friends!

LOL ... anytime I do something typed in capital letters,

I feel like I'm SHOUTING (hence the title) LOL!

Today's card is kind of 'In Your Face' with the bold colors and letters,

but that's what was needed for the WORD WEEK challenge at the 'Just Us Girls' challenge blog.  If you follow my blog, then you saw my 1st card for this challenge on Tuesday and I promised I'd be back today with the card I had originally started to design before switching gears.

Tuesday I went with BOLD COLORS ...

Today I'm going with BOLD WORDS (and colors too I guess).

My word happy is from the Pink & Main 'happy' die set.

The word birthday is from the Poppystamps 'Jumbled Happy Birthday' die set.  I die cut the word from a scrap of black card stock then adhered it to a scrap of white card stock and fussy cut around it to give me the same look as the word happy.

The background paper is from a 6x6 Authentique paper pack called 'Cheerful'.

The double pink layered flower in the corner is by K&Company.  I found a couple packs of these flowers a few weeks ago while doing some clean up!  LOL ... maybe I need to clean up a little more often ... who knows what other goodies I might run across!!

A Day To Remember

Happy Tuesday All ... how's your week going so far?

I discovered that it is WORD WEEK at the 'Just Us Girls' challenge blog and that word is:  BOLD.  I found this very intriguing so I of course had to play along.   For today's card, I chose to go with BOLD COLORS.

I actually had already stamped & die cut BOLD WORDS but in the process of looking for the background paper I wanted to use, I discovered a sheet of gorgeous 'sticker' panels in a 12x12 paper pack by Ella & Viv - The Butterfly Effect Kit.  So of course, I switched gears and went this direction.  I couldn't just go with a sticker on a card front so I added some faux stitching and decorative corners (Sue Wilson Scandinavian Collection) .

I will be back Thursday with another card for this fun challenge!  Afterall ... I had already started with BOLD WORDS ... can't stop there ... need to finish it and share before the challenge closes Thursday at 9 PM EST.!

Just Us Girls ...

This week *Wink *Wink Ink is the sponsor over on the "Just Us Girls" Challenge Blog.  So of course I had to play along!  What a fun group!  This week is a sketch challenge to play with ... here's a peek at the sketch.

These ladies are a VERY talented bunch and pretty feisty too I think!  "Girls just want to have fun ... right?"  Here is the card I created for the challenge using the *Wink *Wink Ink image called "sleepyhead" ... so cute!

Inks:  computer ink
Accessories:  Fiskar's apron lace punch, Cuttlebug swiss dot ef, Bucket o' buttons, Michaels ribbon, Prismacolor marker for faux stitching, pop dots.
