New Home

Hello Friends

In the process of taking care of my mother's estate, of course one of the steps now is dealing with the sale of her house.  That means I'm now talking with a auctioneer (to sell any remaining household items that my siblings & I do not want) & realtor to get the paperwork taken care of so the house can be listed.  Within this process the realtor asked me what I did for a living ... I told her what I did when I was working and that now being retired I 'make greeting cards'.  THIS of course lead to the question ... could you make me some Thank You cards with houses on them??  LOL

So I have a few samples to show her when we next meet but in the process of designing something relatively simple for easy mailing I was left with a few extra die cuts and decided to make a few 'New Home' cards for my sale box.  What do you think??

I've created the sky backgrounds then tore a dark olive scrap of card stock for the grassy area.  On the first card I've used TH distress inks & a sponge dauber on regular white card stock to create the background.  But for the second card, I've used TH OXIDE distress inks onto watercolor paper & water.

Digging into my dies I've used a Memory Box House and Impressions Obsession Fences.  The sentiment is a die set by Frantic Stamper and the blue bird is an old Martha Stewart punch.

I've left them blank inside so the person sending them can add their own message.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  5. You just never know where you might sell your cards :) That is so neat, and I love what you have come up with for your sale box, both the colored house and the white one, great job on your backgrounds for them too! Wishing you well on all you have to do.
