More Encouraging Words . . .

Hello Friends & Happy Sunday to you!

I've been in the crafting cave today working on a few more cards of encouragement.  I knew some of the stamps I wanted to work with, now I just needed a sketch as a starting point and I spotted this sketch over on the Mojo Monday Blog.

I actually made two cards.  Even though they both follow the basic sketch design, I did take a few liberties to 'make the card my own'.

CARD #1

On this card I have used the anchor image from the Divinity Designs stamp set called 'Anchor'.  My coloring was done using both Spectrum & SU pencils.

The sentiment comes from an very old JustRite Stamp set called 'Anchors Away' (I don't think this company is in business any longer.)  I have used Tutti Designs Scallop Stitched Circle die cuts for the front panel and also Tutti Designs Scallop Stitched Rectangle dies for the sentiment.

CARD #2

Here is where I have taken a few liberties with the design by changing the focus image to a rectangle vs circle but the basic sketch is still very visible.  My focus sentiment is by Divinity Designs and is called 'Every Minute'.  Nuvo White Crystal Drops were used to create the 'pearl' accents.

  10. Beautiful card Darlene, reminded me of my late father who loved the hymn "Will your anchor hold". Thank you so much for joining in the Aud Sentiments Challenge, I hope we will see you again next time.
