Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge . . .

Hello my friends!
Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme, chosen by Debbie this time around, is:

IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS
(Sentiment as the Focal Point)

I actually had another card started for this challenge then spotted this sentiment that I've had laying around for awhile now and thought it would be perfect for today's theme!

Now, anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE ice cream.  Yes I don't have it often because my waistline doesn't like it but when I do (special occasions lol) I truly ENJOY it and there aren't too many flavors I don't like!  SO .... if I say I love you MORE than ice cream ... that is saying A LOT!!!  LOL

My background was created by using strips of scraps.  I took an afternoon a long time ago and went through all my scraps and sorted out those that would work well together.  After cutting them into various sized strips, I created background panels.  I had totally forgotten about these as they were in a drawer but when I spotted them I figured this would be a quick, easy and delightful way to create today!  Your thoughts??

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  4. Great card, Darlene! That sentiment is perfect for this theme, for sure! Love the background papers - I never think to do anything with mine but I can't seem to ever throw them out. This is going on my to-do list! Have a wonderful and safe week in your craft room, Sistah!

  6. Well I would never have guess the background was made of scraps if you hadn't told us. But if you love us more than Ice cream then you must really love us hahaha x Unfortunately my waist line is in agreement with yours. x

  7. How cute and I love ice cream too! Especially those waffle cones with vanilla, nuts and dripping in chocolate. Yum! So I guess that would fit as a card for me too. Great way to use those scraps too. They make a wonderful background for that focal design.

  10. Your background looks awesome, Darlene, and I love that BIG sentiment! One of my favorite things to do is make card layouts and backgrounds to have ready for later. BTW, I LOVE ice cream, too. I have a local favorite brand, but the ice cream Rich makes is the BEST!

  11. I love this Dar and I'm totally in the same boat as you are when it comes to loving ice cream! I don't buy it either normally but just last week I came home with two pints of Ben & Jerry's. One for me and one for my hubby. So far, I'm the only one that's eaten any and there's half a pint left. Anyway, I love your card and that super fun sentiment. Perfect for this challenge!
