Birthday Cards for the Ladies!

 Happy Weekend All!

Here are a few birthday cards I created for a friend who sends lots of birthday cards to her neighbors.  Hope she likes them!

This first card design was very easy and I actually made TWO identical cards.  My camera didn't really capture the true color very well .... it's mauve and very pretty IRL.   The 3D embossing folder is by Nellie's Choice and though difficult to see in the photo, I've added Diamond Stickles to the centers of the flowers.  Again ... very pretty IRL.

This next set of cards, as you can see, are very similar to each other.
I've used the same elements:   Anna Griffin embossing folder, Memory Box 'Blushing Bouquet' floral die, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fishtail Banners', Altenew sentiment stamp & Nuvo Crystal Drops.
But, I've designed them a little differently one to the other.

Here are individual photos so you can get a closer look at the details.

Did you notice the difference in color this purple card (below) has from the photo above?  For some reason, my camera plays games with my purples & blues.  Any card I photograph in my light box that is blue, it puts a pink haze around it (see above) and I'm never sure what I'm going to get if I use purple!  LOL  The card below is actually truer in color of the card!

Embossing folders make creating cards quick & easy!
I really need to use mine more often!  I have a LOT of embossing folders ... but obviously LESS memory  LOL!

  1. These are all beautiful, Darlene. I'm sure she loved her card. That embossing looks beautiful and elegant.I'm sorry I've been MIA. Life is taking up a lot of my crafting time right now which is very annoying! :-) I've had a look at your projects since I last checked in, and WOW, you're so creative! Your projects are all beautifully done! I'm a little short on my Christmas cards and very short on time but I do have a couple of Christmas 3D embossing folders that I may just dig out and use them to make quick, easy and pretty cards. Thanks for the inspiration, my friend. Hugs, Lena

  5. These are all gorgeous, I just can't get over those 3D embossing folders, such awesome detail! I am sure she is going to love them all!
I have the same problem when I take my pictures, the colors don't always turn out the way they should and sometimes have a color glow around them, really weird.

  8. Gorgeous embossing folders and flower die, Darlene! I need to use mine more often, too. They really do add so much. Blues and purples are the most difficult to photograph. I think my current camera does a better job than others I've had. Or maybe it's the bigger window I installed in my stamp room a few years ago. A combination of natural light, Ott lights, and camera, maybe?
