Hello my friends!
(Anything with water)
As you can see, I went for an UNDER WATER scene. It was an easy starting point when I spotted a scrap of 'water' designer paper in the drawer ... and it took life from there!
The dies I've used are as follows:
Tutti Designs - Fishing Net (#444)
Paper Rose - Under the Sea Border (#17523)
Paper Rose - Fish Trio (#17328)
Karen Burniston - Sea Animals (Turtle) #1037
Here's a closer look . . .
Coloring on the coral was done using what ink was left on some of myTim Holtz distress oxide ink sponge daubers.
*** A Peek at the Inside ***
Dies used:
Tutti Designs - Seashell Corner (#448)
Cottage Cutz - Happy Fish 2 (CCE273)
Little B - Mermaid - Jellyfish (#102413)
I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
Your little underwater scene is adorable Dar but you really must release those fish from the net. ;0) Makes me think of the story of Finding Nemo. Free the fish! haha!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Birgit - such a wonderful card but those fishies in the net look so sad! "Fish are friends, not food!" LOL
ReplyDeleteVery cool, love what you did with the challenge, the paper is perfect, like how you used the netting, great sea creatures!
ReplyDeleteLove this Card and the idea with the Fishing Net. So beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for joining us at the Bastel-Traum Challenge
Hugs and good luck

ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous water background Dar! I love all the little guys swimming around, make me long for a beach holiday! Have a lovely weekend and thank you so much for all your lovely comments
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful underwater scene you've created! I just love this design both inside and outside! Those fish are great!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, you have utilized your underwater dies and paper scrap brilliantly! Also like the decorated inside! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely under water scene, Darlene. I was trying to find Dory and Nemo, but they must have already escaped the netting :-) Beautiful card, my front, both on the front and on the inside.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
