Summer Beverage

Hello Friends!

Today I decided to look over the blogland challenge listing

and see what caught my eye that I could play/share.

The Paper Players Challenge is what caught my eye first . . .

AND, the 'I'll Drink To That' challenge at Impression Obsession.

My card turned out a little different from what I had

first envisioned but I'm still very happy with it ... what do you think?

I've been trying to remember to use colored card stock for the

base of my cards (I have a TON of it!) so went with a pretty ocean blue

for today's card then die cut my frame & sentiment panels using

the Memory Box 'Wrapped Stitched Frames' die set

For my beverages, I've used the Pink Ink by Impression Obsession

Party Drink stamps and Party Drinks dies.  What a fun set to create with ... perfect for this time of year!

I've used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for my coloring

and popped my drinks up using dimensional tape.

Tutti Designs - Faith, Trust & a little Fairy Dust

Happy Monday Dear Friends!

Today I'm sharing a 'fairy' cute creation using a couple of dies from our latest May release.  Be sure to check out all the amazing dies available at  the Tutti Designs Store.

 The dies I have used on today's creation are:

I started out by die cutting my fairies from scraps of white card stock then colored them using my Spectrum Noir markers.  Fairies always have sparkle somewhere so I've added to their wings and to their 'magic wands'.

 

 

 It was a lot of fun to create this scene and I think it could be used for any child's birthday or a card of encouragement.  It's not only the adults who need a positive push these days ... our children need a surprise like this card to encourage them to keep going and not let anyone push them around ... they need to know they are important!!

A bit rainy here but could be worse so not complaining!

I've gotten hooked on the new 'magical/mystical' craze

so I think I'll have to put another category in my card boxes for upcoming shows!  LOL

Here's a fun card a created to share with you today . . .

I created the background by first die cutting a circle from masking medium to use for the moon.  After applying it to my watercolor paper panel, I then used Tim Holtz Wilted Violet & Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks for my colors.

Now the fun of creating my scene!

Dies R Us Challenge Time

Hello All...

YEP!  It's time once again for a new challenge

at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

And, the theme is:

  SUMMERTIME

 The possibilities are endless when creating a card

using this as the theme!

However, one thing came to mind for me today and that is seeing

the hot air balloon in the sky ... not something you see every day!  LOL

But beautiful when you do!!

Here are the dies I've used today:

Serendipity by Impression Obsession - Hot Air Balloons

Sue Wilson Sentiments - Have a Nice Day

After die cutting my balloon panel, I then took a piece of white card stock

the same size and added some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks.

I actually just sponged on what was left on my various colored sponges

that I use for my oxide inks.  

Then glued the white panel atop my inked background panel.

I thought this pretty floral paper from a 6x6 Prima paper pad

called 'Hello Pastel' would make a nice backdrop since the colors all seemed 'right'!   

A scrap of pink card stock (from the scrap box) was used

as a partial matting and then after going 'in search of' a sentiment

to be used, I found this die by Sue Wilson that I thought would be PERFECT!

Hello All!

After all of yesterday's rain storms, this morning is filled with

sunshine and fresh air!  I feel so blessed!!

I'm still working on some cards for the Amish gift sets I've been

commissioned to create but before I share my card, and

for those who do not follow me on FB ... check out what ran across

our line of vision this morning while we were enjoying our morning coffee

and watching the squirrels play outside our sliding glass door to the back yard.

Yep, the squirrels scampered quickly up a tree and from the right side of our deck this pretty mama came running over into our sideyard.  She stood there for quite awhile looking around as if deciding the best route to take.  Then made her decision and ran to her left across our neighbors backyard (probably had their dog Max barking his head off inside their house lol).  What a great way to start the morning!!!

Now back to my card share . . .

I recently purchased this Impression Obsession BIKE and thought

it would make a perfect note card for the set.

 

I've die cut it from silver foil card stock the cut the

wheels again from black card stock and removed the 'spokes'

before gluing the 'tires' to the wheels.

My landscape was created by die cutting various

shades of green card stock using the Impression Obsession 

Hill Landscape Layers die and then the front grassy panel

is a Cottage Cutz 'grass' die.

The sun up in the sky is from the Impression Obsession 

Sun & Moon die set

and the flowers in the basket are from Prima.

A touch of Nuvo Yellow Crystal drops were used for the flower centers.

I decided to create a little scene using BIRDS & BUTTERFLIES!

Of course, we can never have enough birthday cards in our stash so that is the occasion I chose for today's card.  I've had this birdhouse die for awhile now and I think it's the perfect size for my A6 card design.

 My coloring was done with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I've also used a shaping mat & stylus to give the leaves & birds a little shaped dimension.

Tutti Designs - Summertime at the Beach

Welcome Back Tutti Friends!

Today I'm sharing a card that reminds me of our amazing French Polynesian vacation last year!  All the beautiful blue/green waters and colorful fish ... ugh!  I'm ready to go again!  LOL
 

Anyways, at the Tutti Designs Store, we had a new May release and you really owe it to yourself to check 'em out!  Not only are they 'magical' but they are 'summertime' awesome!!

Here's my Summertime at the Beach creation . . .

 Oh my goodness what fun I had creating this card!

Once again I have die cut my image multiple times and glued them together for dimension.  Coloring only one of the panels prior to adhering them together.

Today's focus die is the newly released 'Coral Reef Scene'.

I've also fussy cut the sentiment from the Hello Summer die for today's card.

 I created the water background using TH oxide distress inks then used the little white 'bubbles' that popped out of my die for added air bubbles in the background.  Above each bubble I've used a white gel pen for the smaller  ascending bubbles.

Playing in the Moon Light

Happy Weekend All!

Hope you  have some fun plans for the weekend!

As for me, I'm happy with having my outside work done and I mowed yesterday

when I returned home from my family visit in PA so I have some time

to play & share today.  YAY!

I've been having so much fun creating a bit 'outside the box' using magical stamps

as well as some 'piece together' dies like the one used on THIS CARD (more creations to come). 

Here's what I have for you today . . .

I started out with the Lavinia Paper called 'Misty Morning'.

To create my 'scene', I've used the following stamps:

Fairy Couple

Rory

Slender Mushrooms Miniature

To me, this looks like a mystical 'moon' and it appears 'Rory' is intrigued

with the playfulness going on with his friends.  

Along the bottom I stamped the slender mushrooms then spotted a piece

of torn green card stock in the trash that I had left over from an

earlier project so dug it back out of the trash and used it along the bottom for a grassy knoll.

A Spring Time Birthday

Hello dear friends!

I'm still working on some commissioned card for one of my 1st cousins so today

I have a birthday card to share.  

I had pulled this background paper (Carta Bella 'Practically Perfect) for a different project but then changed my mind so decided to use it for a ladies birthday creation.  These cards I'm making are for some Amish ladies so I'm sure anything with flowers and ivy will be well received.

For the overlay, I have used the Paper Rose 'Quatrefoil Background 1' die.

The ivy is a die set from Elizabeth Craft called 'Garden Notes Ivy Vine'

The flower is actually a hibiscus blossom but I chose not to use the stamen.

I've also used the largest die from the Cottage Cutz  'Nested Stitched Eyelet Circle Set' and cut it in half,

 

and placed my Tutti Designs Happy ... Birthday sentiment on.
