Hello All and Happy Thursday!
Well my Spring show was yesterday and I'm happy to say it was a success! Now all my attentions must go towards my granddaughter's wedding on the 27th and see what help I can be to my daughter for these many last minute preparations. Plus I have 25 dozen cookies to make so that alone will keep me upright & busy for awhile! LOL
But, before cookie making begins I wanted to share a couple of cards I created and put in the sale boxes at the last minute before the show.
This card began with this left over scrap of designer paper that I used to create a tissue box cover for the show. I decided to go with a stamp set from Sparkle & Sprinkle for my focus panel & sentiment.
A peek at the inside:

This second card also began from a scrap of designer paper left over from a tissue box cover. But, this time I inked up a stamp set from Marianne Design that I've had for quite awhile now and have just never gotten around to using it. It's 'different' but I still like it. Sometimes a designer paper just begs to be stamped on and that is exactly what I have done with this creation. Quick easy and of course being a silhouette stamp set ... perfect!
Since it is a 'Thinking of You' card, I left the inside blank for a personal message.
My Tim Holtz stamping platform came in very handy on this card!
Well that's it for me ... guess I'd better start mixing up cookie batter!
Have a great day and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!
Love both these fabulous cards made by leftovers!! Fabulous papers and designs! The fairy silhouette is a delight on that paper!
ReplyDeleteCongrats for your granddaughter's wedding! :)
Okay, wait... 25 dozen cookies? Sheesh, it's hard for me to get past that, Darlene. Wow! You are very much appreciated by your daughter and granddaughter, I know. Glad to hear your show was successful, but I knew it would be. Two more beautiful cards added last minute. Your silhouette stamping is so crisp on the designer paper. A stamp positioner certainly does make all the difference!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card designs and I love that you used leftovers. I find it fun to stamp on pattern paper now and then too. The silhouettes look great with it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I like the both, but adore the flowers and the beautiful background! Thanks for joining us and good luck with your entry! Be sure to join our challenge again next month!

Beautiful cards, Darlene. Love the silhouette stamping! And love the warm and happy colours of the first card. Congrats on your successful show and on your granddaughter's upcoming wedding. You'll have to take pics of the cookies and make us drool :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful evening.
Hugs,
Lena
Both have beautiful paper that compliment the images, your flowers are so sweet in the first and your silhouette is lovely , that border is just perfect to set her on!!
ReplyDeleteGlad the show went so well and oh my that is a lot of cookies, hope it all goes smoothly for you!
As always I love both cards but if I had to choose, I would pick the first one. I love geraniums and these are so pretty! Now on to the cookies, good luck girl!
