Double D - Black & White ONLY

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is

Black & White ONLY
(NO additional colors)
Here's the mood board I've created to help inspire you . .

Black & White creations are always SO striking and I can't wait to see
everyone's projects.  The DT has done an AMAZING job ... be
sure to pop over and check 'em out!

Here's what I came up with!
It's actually my second attempt.  I had a card all set
to go then remembered the theme was NO OTHER COLORS
and I had placed a small pink flower right in the middle.
That's okay ... it will go right into my sale box and make
me one card ahead of all the cards needed for my Spring Show.

I've used some old dies on this project.
Memory Box 'Lovely Peony Outline' (98482)
Memory Box 'Lovely Peony Background (98483)
Cheery Lynn Designs 'Rose Leaf Strip' (B241)

While I had these floral dies out on the table, I decided to create a few more cards for my sale boxes, using the same basic design idea.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!
As always . . .

  1. Wow! Look at you go Darlene!! Your cards are stunning and the black and white are just so striking. They're all beautiful!

  2. Beautiful cards, Darlene!! That peony is one of my favorite dies also. I have never seen the rose leaf before, but I love it. The other cards are all so striking and elegant. I really like the "Prayers" one in the middle! Looks like you are a few cards ahead for sure.

  3. Striking card, love the design!! Also the others more colourful are so sweet and elegant! :)
I have never tried a black&white card, it's so intriguing and I will try if I can!

  4. First of all, visiting your blog is like walking into a beautiful garden. Your card captures the board beautifully. I love the CAS elegance. Thanks for sharing the other cards you made with the same dies. It shows how the same die can create different looks.

  5. Black and white is always so very elegant Darlene, just as your beautiful card. Love the other cards too, the die is so versatile.

  6. This is beautiful! That blossom is magnificent! I had to keep checking that I didn't add any colors too lol

  7. Very pretty card and great use of the dies....all your cards are stunning!!

  8. Holy heck, Darlene, you made that flower die look completely different on each card just by changing up the colors! Your black and white card looks like a negative cut, but with B&W it's hard to tell for sure because of the contrast. I find it really hard to photograph. All are very pretty. The two with lots of black are really striking.

  9. What pretty cards made with that wonderful flower die. All are beautiful. And black and white looks so dramatic I think.

  10. All your cards are just gorgeous, I do love the black and white it gives such an elegant feel to it all!

  11. Just love the dies you used in you lovely creation!
    Hugs from Africa!

  12. This mood board was so very motivating and I see that you and I were inspired by the same image. Black and white an be so classic and beautiful. Who knew that you could do that without colors. I adore the other uses for this flower die too. So different.

  13. Oh my dear, this is simply FABULOUS!!! This is such a great Mood Board and you have captured its essence perfectly. I love everything about this card from the beautiful negative die cut to the butterfly and heart embellishments. All your cards here are just wonderful!!!

  14. Such a gorgeous floral die--beautiful in every color!

Thanks for taking the time to leave me some love!
