Happy November Everyone!
A new month means time for a new challenge over on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.
Remember, this is a monthly Anything Goes challenge but with a fun twist that you can choose to join in on ... or not! This month's theme is:
Anything Goes + Watercoloring
I don't know about you, but I love watercoloring and draw inspiration
from so many of my crafting friends. Here's what I created for you today . . .
I have used Tim Holtz Oxide Distress inks to watercolor my leaves which
were die cut from a VERY OLD Spellbinder die set. After creating my watercolor
panel, I die cut my leaves then while still in the dies, sponged a bit
more oxide ink on the edges and the the 'vein' openings in the die.
I've used an old fall leaves designer paper for the background on my card then covered it by die cutting an older Cheery Lynn Designs die called 'Chicken Wire Frame' . My sentiment was created using Tutti Designs Happy die set and Birthday die set.
After die cutting the acorns using tan card stock from the Spellbinder Fall Leaves set, I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color them.
My niece has a Fall birthday so this card will be sent to her I think!
I do hope you'll pop over to the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and join in the fun!
You have until 6 PM EST the last day of the month to enter!
I'm so inspired by the rest of our amazing DT
and I can't wait to be inspired by YOUR project!
Gorgeous rich autumnal colours - your leafy collection looks fabulous!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors you got in the leaves, like how you brought out the veins and I love it all against that chicken wire die cut, great idea!

ReplyDeleteWow! This is super duper fantastic, Darlene!! Love fall cards and this is a real doozy. All the warmth, beautiful coloring, and that awesome chicken wire die that I love so much and hardly ever remember to use.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, my friend. Love the warm and rich colours you used for this beautiful Fall card. That beautiful background die in white, really makes the Fall hues pop. Gorgeous!
