Hello Dear Friends!
For today's card, I dug deep into my die collection and came up with this Impression Obsession 'Brick House' die for my focus image. I think my 'house' looks more like an old time school house but maybe it's the 'fencing' in the background that makes me think that.
Anyways, I first created my background by inking the upper 2/3 of my card with TH broken china distress oxide ink and the lower 1/3 with TH rustic wilderness distress oxide ink. I used a few Stampscapes stamps to create the fencing, the cloudy sky and the birds. The brick walkway was hand drawn and colored with Tombow markers. My sentiment die is by Yvonne Creations - 'Home Sweet Home'.
I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!

ReplyDeleteGreat card! I get a warm and fuzzy feeling looking at this little house. Fantastic background scene too. Very inviting!
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun challenge and my hat off to you for picking something different. I had a bit of a challenge to make my card, but now that I see your creation and some of the other's, it could have been easier. I love your scene and I think it looks like a old school house too.
ReplyDeleteI love your cloudy sky and the scene you created. Great design.
ReplyDeleteYou created a great scene, love that big house die and your lovely sentiment die too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card, I love the background. Great take on the challenge, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card this is Darlene! A perfectly inked background and I love how the sky turned out. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteFabulous job on the background, love the brick walk up to the house, so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun challenge! I love your little house on the prairie with the barbed wire fence and wide open sky in the background. I guess there is sort of a schoolhouse look to it now that you mentioned it, but also because the die set is shown in red brick. Anywho, it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteFabulously fun house, it does remind of the schoolhouses I see when driving to Shipshewanna, Indiana, I think it is the fence as they seem to have them up around their schools! Great scene you have created!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, something anyone would love to receive Darlene. Such a darling design.
