A Big Hello

 Hello friends!

While looking through Paper Playful today I spotted a couple challenges that I thought I could put together and make a fun card to send to a friend.  Here are the challenges I chose . . .

As soon as I saw the Sunflower challenge I knew exactly what my base would be.  My Michigan BFF, Diane (Nellie's Nest) sent me this paper and it's beautiful.  Next I went through my 'animal' dies and spotted these cuties so got busy creating.

Since I have many squirrels running around in my back yard I decided to put these little guys in a yard of their own.  I love this squirrel but how cute is this raccoon.  But I must admit, I don't like seeing the real thing in my back yard!!  They can be nasty!

The products used on this creation are as follows:

Background Sunflower paper - Crafters Companion Sunflower Collection - Natures Garden
Critters - Karen Burniston #1001 Woodland Animals
Joy Craft! 'Grass' #6002/013
Sentiment - Never Before Used Stamp/Die set from Honey Bee Stamps

I think this turned out really cute and hope it brings a smile to my friends face.

A couple other challenges to share in are:
NBUS Challenge #42
Try It On Tuesday Challenge - Animal - Real or imaginary

Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by and please feel free to leave me a comment!

As always . . .

  1. Wow, that autumn sunflower paper is so gorgeous. (I think some of that would go in a frame at my house to make a yearly tabletop decoration!) I love the way you did the sediment, Darlene, and how you added the cute critters! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

  2. the critters are very cute on your card and that paper is just gorgeous, but I know what you mean, the racoons here tore apart our roof, made a mess of things.
