Can You Handle The Pressure - LEAVES

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is 'LEAVES'.  Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

I had a lot of fun creating today's card.  I began with a panel from the Craft Consortium 'Patina' 6x6 paper pad.  I pulled out my drawer of oxide ink sponge daubers and added some fall colors (what ink was left on daubers) to the corners & here/there on that panel before embossing with an 8 1/2" x 12" Leaves Embossing Folder which I have no idea where I purchased it from and there are no markings on the folder (sorry).

After embossing I used a piece of sand paper across the upraised leaves to give me the white edges and more dimension.  My sentiment comes from  the Creative Expressions Wordies 'Inspirational' Sentiment Sheets.

After adding it to a scrap of card stock, I once again used my oxide ink daubers to add fall color.  My accent leaves are from the Tattered Lace 'Lavish Winter Foliage' die set.

I do hope you'll come check out our new blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!

  6. This is so beautiful! I love the paper. I believe I had it in my cart at one time, but got all frugal and removed it. Will have to put it back in next time. I seem to be in a holding pattern with my card making. Hopefully a flood of creativity will hit me soon.
