All you need . . .

Hello Friends!
Happy Friday afternoon!
While waiting for the BIG snow storm to hit, I thought I'd
play around with a couple of new stamp sets I purchased a few weeks back.

I started out by creating my background using Tim Holtz distress inks and large sponge daubers.  Then came the fun of stamping this scene using the 'Fairy Stamps' set from Joanna Sheen (England)  and a Marianne Designs stamp set called 'Silhouettes - Fairies & Butterflies'.

A couple challenges I'd like to enter into are:
Time Out Challenge #127 - Inspired by Words

That's it for me today!
Back to creating for a few more hours before
dinner hour calls upon me to cook!  LOL

As always . . .

** UPDATE **
I've used this card as an Encouragement Card and hand wrote
a personal message inside.

  1. Beautiful card, Darlene. Love the background you've created for your lovely scene. Great sentiment too. xx

  2. Sweet card, love the fairy and butterflies scene and your adorable background!

  3. My kind of card Darlene and first I thought they were Lavinia stamps...beautiful background and lovely design....take care in the storm, think of you and Mark. big hugs.xx

  4. Such a beautiful card with that pastel background and the silhouette images. I love the sentiment too.

  5. This is super sweet Dar! We're getting your snow today. 18-24 inches! I'll be tucked away in my craft room too. ;0)

  6. What a beautiful combo! It looks like these stamps were meant for each other. Actually, I thought the image was all one stamp. Such a pretty silhouette for your nicely shaded background. Have a good time hunkered down in your stamp room while the snow falls!

  7. great background for your sweet fairy stamp, I just used one of sheenas silhouette stamps on a card I will probably post tomorrow, they are pretty stamps. Hope you didn't get hit by that snow too hard.

  8. Beautifu background for those wonderful sihlouette images. Thanks for joining us at Time Out.

  9. Can you tell me for what occasion this card would be used for and what sentiment you put inside?

  10. Stunning card and amazing how all what you have used looks as though it was all made for each other, it all blends together so beautifully!!

  11. Love the background you created for your fairy silhouettes. Beautiful!

  12. Love your fabulous inking of the background! And the sentiment is perfect to this silhouette image.
