Hello Friends!
Recently I've run complete out of sympathy cards
and since I sadly get many requests for them that's what I'm
going to be working on today since the weather is going to be
really crappy and I can't go out.
I spotted the sketch over on the Case This Sketch blog and
thought it would work perfectly for some fast cards. Here's my first
card to share ...
I have had this Hero Arts stamp & die set for ages and
FINALLY found a design I really think it's perfect for!
For the word 'prayers', I have die cut it three times and glued together
THEN I used Ultra Thick Embossing Enamal (UTEE) and heat set it to get
this beautiful result.
I thought the ivy was exactly what I needed for the vertical element.
I've used the Sue Wilson 'Greek Island Collection' (CED5102).
After die cutting from lime green card stock,
I sponged some darker green ink over the top.
Here are a few other challenges I'd like to share in:
Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #324 - Clean and Simple
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Clean and Simple
City Crafters Challenge #445 - Clean and Simple
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #423 - Embossing (wet embossed)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today!
If you are in the path of this HUGE SNOW STORM,
please stay safe and warm!
As always . . .
Great use of the ivy die, and beautiful design!
ReplyDeleteThis is just perfect for that sketch challenge. Your card is lovely! The black enamel sentiment looks like a sticker... so perfect!
ReplyDeleteWow, your "prayers" looks so fantastic! The ivy die and sentiment are really perfect for the sketch. If I had time today I have some stamps that would be great for this. Guess I'll just file it away for later. I need some sympathy cards, too. Thanks for the inspiration, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous and I love the Prayer with the Utee coatings.
