Double D - Looking Back in Time

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is

Looking Back in Time
(create something that reminds you of times gone by)
Here's the mood board I've created to help inspire you . . .

Here's what I have to share with you today ...

My card is 5.5" square and uses the following products:

Yvonne Creations - Vintage Objects - Endless Times Frame

The image is from a collage pack called 'Vintage Photographs' from TJ Designs by TweetyJill.  She used to be on Etsy but I don't see where her store is open any more.  Sorry!  I purchased my pack of sheets several years ago at the Adventures in Stamping Convention held here in Akron every Spring.

The key if from K&Company and the sticky backed lace (very old) is by Jambo.

After die cutting my frame from white card stock, I sponged a bit of Tim Holtz distress 'walnut stain' over the top to give it an aged appearance.  A 5.5 square panel of Kraft card stock was added to the back before adhering to my white card base.

The oval dies I used for my image and white mat are the OLD (my first set of stackable dies) Sizzix Oval dies.  They were the perfect shape / size to fit in the opening on this die.

I've also added a medium size Gold Dot by Stampendous in the center of the clock hands.

REMEMBER:  We have a fun prize to give away to one lucky player,
which will be chosen by Random.org
ALL are welcome to enter ... we will ship internationally!

  6. You make me want to bring my lace out to play. What a beautiful frame it makes! And that Yvonne die, sigh... I have several of those on my wish list. Love how you sponged to age it. You even went vintage with your oval dies, your first stackables. You've come a long way, baby! I still have my first dies, too, and use them all the time -- basic circles and ovals. Ah, memories!
