Hello Friends!
Over on Darnell's blog she offers up a challenge called the Twofer Card Challenge
each time the theme is different but the basis is the same!
This time around, it's BIRDS and even though I haven't had the chance
to play along for awhile now, today I told myself I was doing this one
before it was too late! (Ends tonight ... yikes!)
Using an older Impression Obsession 'Song Bird Branch' ,
here's what I've come up with . . .
My first card could be used for a variety of occasions!
Valentine's Day, Wedding, Anniversary ... or Just Because!
Product used besides the 'Birds on a Branch' die are:
Southern Girls Challenge - Love is in the Air
My second card could be used anytime of the year as a note card to a friend.
Product used besides the 'Birds on a Branch' die are:
Poppystamps 'Grassland Border' (#825 ... old)
Tim Holtz 'broken china' ink & large sponge dauber (cloud edges)
White craft ink & small sponge dauber (background sky)
You really should check out Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge Blog!
Her design team is amazing and I love seeing what all
the entries come up with ... some really cool inspiration!!
Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by today and have a great weekend ahead!!
As always ...
Beautiful card, Darlene. I love how you've surrounded the birds with the heart in the first card and the little scene you've created on your second card is really lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteWell you aced this challenge! Love both your cards...the little birds are amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou got there in time, Darlene -- yay! Your cards caught my eye in the link up and then I saw they were yours. I'm so glad you played along! They're both so beautiful, colorful, and heartwarming. In a lovey dovey way on the first card and in a friendship way on the second. Just wonderful! Thanks for playing along in our Twofer Birds Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Two fabulous different cards with those beautiful birds!! Love them!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly aced the Twofer with birds. I love both of the wonderful cards and I love that darling die of the birds on a branch.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, I especially love the outdoor scene on the second card. I do like how you colored the birds on the first card in two different blues!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, thanks for joining us at MAWTT. Xxx
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are lovely, Darlene! I love that you've created them with all die cuts, and a bit of inking on your second one! That's so very clever and is right in my wheelhouse - I love crafting with die cuts! Those IO birds are so sweet, too! Bold, rich colors and wonderful designs. Thanks so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev
ReplyDeleteSo glad you brought your bright and colorful designs to Twofer, Darlene! Your "anything love" card will make the recipient feel your love without question! And your Friends design is so stunning in that vibrant blue! Excellent sponging! I need another bird stamp like I need a third eye, but I'm really loving this die and how versatile it is ... shoot! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
