Back to the Bits 'n Bobs

Happy Friday All!

I was actually supposed to meet up with my high school friends for lunch over in PA today but as you know, PA and OHIO are in lock down so I guess I'll just have to keep crafting to occupy my mind.

All week I've been using up many of the bits 'n bobs that have been stacking up on my work tables waiting for the right time to be turned into beautiful cards.  Well since we are confined to our homes at the moment ... NOW'S the time!!  Here's a couple I have to share with you today . . .

I just love this cute Wild Rose Studio stamp ...can be used for a variety of occasions but today since I had this double matted Tutti Designs 'Friend' die cut laying on the table ... a Friends card it is!!

And, what do you think about the background paper?  This is soooooooooooo OLD ... yes I'm trying to use up some of those 6x6 paper packs that have just a couple of sheets left also.  When I first looked at it, it didn't hit me that they were elephants but then  DUH! ... the brain kicked in and said Hey Goofy ... those are elephants in the image and this will work!  LOL

Movin' on . . .

On this card I've used another of the Heartfelt Creations older stamped image I've had sitting around just waiting to be colored.  When I work with stamps/die sets, I usually stamp multiples, then as I have time I color them and then when/if my project requires they be die cut I do it then ... otherwise I just leave it as such and die cut the entire panel using a rectangle, circle, square ...whatever is required for the project I'm working on.

The background paper is also VERY OLD and it's a panel that I obviously wasn't encouraged to use before so today's the day I'm showing it some love! Another one of those 6x6 packs with only a couple sheets remaining.  It was a 2 sided panel so what I cut off to fit my card base was flipped over and used as an accent.

I noticed I had this cute little scalloped circle die cut laying on the table and it was already stamped with this birthday sentiment so there ya go .... Birthday card ready to go!  I think I'll stamp the inside with my 'A little birdie told me . . .' stamp or something like that.

  3. What super creations you've created from your bits and bobs! I didn't see the elephants in the background paper at first either! Lovely coloring of both images!

  4. Wow! Bits and Bobs cards are gorgeous. Wonderful elephants design and cute as can be. And, the bird and floral design is colored so beautifully too. I don't think I can find that many bits and bobs as you have found. At any rate, I have not had a lot of time to do much crafting. I have been busy writing cards and sending them out to people to give them a lift during this isolation environment. Also doing some baking which is more the "from scratch" type as I don't run to the store to get cake mixes and cookies already i the package or from the bakery.

  5. Oh my goodness those elephants are just the sweetest, love how you colored them, I didn't notice the elephants in the paper until you said, good eyes you have!
The birdies are the sweetest, so fun to go back and use our old goodies!

  8. OMG, so much adorableness! You're doing great using up your bits and bobs. Loving these stamps and, yes, the paper on the first is perfect! I always love the little ellies from Wild Rose. It's fun seeing what all my blog friends are doing. I'm kinda missing getting together with my girlfriends, having lunch and shopping. We just keep on doing what we have to do. Hugs!

  9. Thanks for the chuckle, Darlene! The paper is of course perfect! Both cards are adorable and well worth messing with your bits and bobs. We are on lockdown here too and my monthly high school girlfriend lunch was also cancelled. Thank goodness we both have passions for paper! xoxo
