Hello my friends!
A new month means a new challenge over on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.
Remember, this is a monthly Anything Goes challenge but with a fun twist
that you can choose to join in on ... or not! This month's theme is:
ANYTHING GOES / SMOOSHING
I must admit, I have not used this technique in AGES ...
what fun I had creating today's card!
I used a few different old SU reinkers for today's smooshing panels.
Then did a little die cutting and fussy cutting to create my
underwater scene! What do you think?
Of course when you do this technique, you get 2 for 1 which is
really cool. Here's the 'other' panel I created at the same time as the
one I used on today's card. My brain in racing with ideas
on how I want to use this extra panel!
The dies I've used are:
My sentiment was already die cut from this color and laying on my worktable, left over from a previous design and since the color went well with my underwater scene, I found a scrap of the same color, die cut the 'fish' ... a little fussy cutting and gluing ... VIOLA, card complete!
Oh yea, I did add a few 'sticker' bubbles (EK Success).

Oh, wow, this is so cool! I love the smooshing and the whole underwater theme, which I'm kinda into right now. I'm looking at those bubble stickers and thinking of all my circle punches I could do that with. How fun!

Fabulous under water scene and fun technique of 'smooshing'!!
ReplyDeleteDarlene you chose the perfect colors to pop against that gorgeous smooshiness! Don't know what pops more, the orange or the white? Both! Great card, XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that smooshed background, Dar! Great colours to really show off the gorgeous die-cuts. Both the white and the orange are vying for attention. Thanks so much for sharing with our Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge.
ReplyDeleteI've used this technique before, Darlene, but had no idea it was called "Smooshing" The name is fun and totally appropriate :-) Love the colours you smooshed together to create your perfect background for your lovely ocean dies.
