Make The Cards Challenge - Color Challenge

Welcome back friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on  Make The Cards Challenge
Today we are having a color challenge.

OMBRE PURPLE

Our Guest Designer today is:  Niki Coursey – Cardstoq

For my card, I simply gathered up the colors indicated in the sample then decided to cut them at an angle in an 'ombre' fashion for my base design.  I then used a sentiment I had laying on the work table from a previous order I was fulfilling and added a few flourishes.  By using the dark colors on the light ... and the light colors on the dark ... I think it pulled it together perfectly.  Hope you like it!

Remember, our challenge is weekly, so you have until 7 PM this Saturday to upload your creation into the Inlinkz over on the blog.

 The dies I've used today are the Tutti Designs Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals

TUTTI-417 Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals

 and an old Cheery Lynn Designs 'Leafy Flourish' (#B571) die set.

~~~  CONFESSION ~~~
 To my eyes, the color scheme looked blue so here is the first card I made . . .
then I read the description where it said 'Ombre PURPLE' ... duh!!!
 Oh well, now I have TWO cards ready to send to someone who might be under the weather or dealing with Covid.  I'm praying today's post finds you HEALTHY!!
 I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun ... here's the link for you one more time ...
  4. The sample square looks blue to me, too, but I guess it's that kind of in-between color, shades of amethyst, that always confuses me. I never know whether to file it in my purples or my blues. Oh, the trials of crafting, tee hee! Both cards look fabulous and now you're making me imagine all sorts of colors done this way!
