Double D - Birds

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:

BIRDS

and here's an inspiration board I've created to help get you started . . .

Believe it or not, I'm STILL using up bits & bobs left over from the Christmas holidays.  I spotted this cardinal bird stamped image that I had laying on the work table and decided to create a little scene using it for today's challenge theme.

I used Tombow markers for the coloring (I do remember that lol) and created the 'scene' by using a scrap of bluish colored designer paper, tore a scrap of white card stock for the snow and used the Impression Obsession 'Split Tree' dies (DIE454) to create my 'forest'.

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!
Here's what I'm offering as today's prize . . .

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!

  As always . . .

  1. So glad you found a home for the pretty cardinal. What a great idea creating the wintery background and framing him out as the focal point. Thanks for this fun challenge!

  4. Love the scene you've created. The pretty red Cardinal front and center between the two trees is very eye catching.

  5. There's nothing like a pretty red cardinal amongst the snow covered trees in winter. He is the perfect focal point in this winter scene.

  6. What a striking card with that bright red cardinal in a snow storm. I can tell you that they are just as red here in Florida, just no snow.

  7. I would love to see Cardinals here but, alas, this is not their scene. Your scene, however, is perfect for them and appears so serene and quiet. I love those opposing IO trees. You're very good with the Tombows. This is an ideal winter birthday card and hooray for using up those leftover bits! BTW, I received the Cardinal die and it is gorgeous! Thanks!
