Cheapo Dies - Let's Escape Winter . . .

with a trip to the Islands!

Hello Dear Friends
Today I'm sharing a Winter Escape to the Islands creation
using dies from the Cheapo Dies Store.

If you live in an area that is experiencing WINTER at the present time, then the thought promoted by this card will catch your eye!   Wouldn't it be nice to be basking in the sun on a far away island watching the palm trees sway in the ocean breeze?   THAT is where my mind was when creating this card and watching the snow flying around outside.

The die I have used on today's card is

Cheapo Dies - Palm Trees

My vision for today's card was to have this die as my main focus so I began by die cutting from various scraps of colored card stock and my main image from white card stock.  Then started piecing my scene together.

Next came all the pieces I needed (which many were left over bits & bobs from past creations) to bring this island scene to life.

The seashells, stamp, sentiment panel were all fussy cut from a scrap piece of Graphic45 seaside designer paper I had in my stash.

I hope you've enjoyed what I've shared today, and, if you're not familiar with Cheapo Dies, you are missing out!!!

Here's a listing of their store, blog & FB links to help you get familiar:

Thanks to all of you for stopping by today!
Here's wishing you a FABULOUS week ahead!
As always ...

  3. This is a very cool die! Who's not ready for beachy weather? I'd enjoy a little sunshine, even if it's cold. All those elements cut from the paper were just the ticket to complete your scene. Your fussy cutting is so good I assumed at first they were pre-cut ephemera. Warms me up just looking at it!

  5. It is snowing as I write this, and with wind chill it is 6 degrees, so I will say this does look very welcoming right now, like your bird stamp with it too, the seagull in the die cut is neat too!
