Sisterhood of Crafters - Birthday

Hello dear friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over

Our hostess today is Debbie and the theme she has chosen is:

BIRTHDAY

Here's what I have to share ...

(Inside)
Older Sue Wilson die cut from winter green card stock.

For some reason I had a difficult time creating a card for today ... it's crazy!
I make birthday cards ALL THE TIME!
Guess I just wasn't in the mood ... does that ever happen to you??

Anyways, I finally got this card pulled together and actually like it LOL!
The background paper is from an older BoBunny paper pack called Garden Party.
Again, I've blown the dust off my punches and used this Martha Stewart punch to create my 'doily' lace topper.

I've used a new Serendipity by Impression Obsession 'teapot' die as the focus for today's card.

Serendipity Dies - Teapot

Isn't it amazing how your camera can play tricks on you!!

I've used my new Cottage Cutz 'Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval Set' to create the 'gold tray' for my teapot to sit on.  In the above photo it looks like a gold edged tray with a black felt center ...

... but in this photo you can see that it was die cut from gold foil card stock.  LOL

I've also used the Cottage Cutz 'Nested Stitched Eyelet Rectangle' set to die cut my sentiment panel.  With my sentiment being long and narrow ... I would have had to use a larger than I wanted die so I simply die cut around the top of my sentiment ... then reinserted my cut panel into the die half way up and cut again to create this long/narrow panel.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

 See you there!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  6. Difficult time??? I don't think so based on your great card! My favorite detail is the sentiment... I really like that phrase! The rest is "icing" on the cake. Well done, Sistah!!

  8. You had me with that beautiful tea pot, Darlene! Your creativity was definitely not lacking, even if your mojo was. Easiest solution is just pick something from your stash and dive in! :-) I hope you are having a wonderful week, Sis!
