Double D - St. Patrick's Day

Top of the Morning to ya!!

I am not Irish but hubby is and we've been together for a long time so I guess I could be considered 'part Irish' ... LOL   His full Irish mother was a real spit fire and I learned many traditions and heard many Irish tales from her ... wonderful memories for sure!

Anyways, I'm leading up to our new challenge theme at the  Double D Challenge Blog.  Diane has created a fabulous mood board and has chosen the theme of:

St. Patrick's Day
use all or any of the colors
green~white~gold

With that in mind ... here's what I've created:

This card came together quite quickly since I used all bits & bobs from past projects.
The plaid paper is from Hot Off the Press (very old),
The white 'frame' is one of many I have hanging on a hook that are off cut.
My image is by Crafty Secrets (sadly no longer in business).
This Poppy Stamp 'Petal Ribbon' die resembled shamrocks so added it as an embellishment.
Lastly I needed a touch of gold so went with these Stampendous Dot Sparklers
for my flower centers and corner embellishment.

Diane has this fun Cottage Cutz 'Forest Critters' die set as the prize to one lucky random winner.   WOW!  How cool is that!!   Remember ... you gotta play to win!
Be sure to pop over to our Double D Challenge Blog and check out what the design team ladies have created ... they are amazingly talented and I'm sure you'll find more wonderful inspiration!
 Hope to see you there!

As always . . .
