Hello Everyone!
We decided to add another challenge blog to our list of challenge blogs and this time will will be about using our STENCILS. This challenge will be a MONTHLY challenge and will begin on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month. It will always be an ANYTHING GOES with STENCILS challenge but we will be offering an OPTIONAL THEME.
Here is the theme that Diane has chosen as our optional theme:
HOLIDAY (any)
Here is the 'HOLIDAY' card I came up with ...
I stenciled my stars using TH distress oxide ink 'Prize Ribbon' on the white card front then cut 1/2" strips from a scrap of holiday designer paper. The word 'Happy' is by Memory Box 'Share the Happiness' (#30007) and the 'Numbers' are from the Karen Burniston die set 'Numbers' (#1031)
For my second card (Anything Goes), I decided to create a thank you card. I don't have many left in my stash, so thought it would be a good idea.
I have used a fun stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.com called 'Mini Butterfly Collage (TCW554s). I've taped off a portion of the stencil and just used the part I wanted then got out a variety of TH distress oxide inks, small daubers and got busy.
We hope you'll come join in our fun and GOOD LUCK!!
As always . . .
Super awesome and creative stenciled cards!! Both are fabulously fun stencils that you have showcased perfectly! Isn't our stencil challenge a lot of FUN??
ReplyDeleteClever make with the stars and stipes, Darlene. The butterfly thank you is gorgeous! Love the colors you used.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great idea for a 4th of July card! A totally different way to do the stars and stripes and I love it! Your butterfly collage is really pretty. They call it mini, but just that part of it covers your card very nicely. There are so many cool stencils out there.
ReplyDeletevery clever with the stars and stripes on the first card, I usually forget by the time I wake up, I keep telling myself I need a notebook next to my bed.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you used the stencils in the last card.
Beautiful cards💐👏👏👏
ReplyDeleteHappy day
