Shelly's Images Challenge

Today is the 1st challenge at Shelly's Images for 2013 and it's an easy one for you . . .

SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!

(Anything Goes)

For this challenge the design team could choose ANY of Shelly's Images to create with and I chose the 'Butterfly Set'.  I recently saw a fun tutorial at StampTV for a greeting card gift box that I hadn't seen before so that was what I decided to make. 

Of course I couldn't just stop at just making the box ... I had to make a set of note cards too.  I love having boxed sets of cards on hand for those last minute gift giving needs.

  This box holds 6 (A-2) cards & envelopes easily and could probably hold up to 8 as long as they were light on embellishments. My set includes 6 different 'butterfly themed' cards.

For the Shelly's Images digi image used on the box, I have colored it with Prisma Pencils & Gamsol ... then used Crystal Effects to add dimension/shine to the butterfly and a couple of the flowers.  The edges were inked with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink to give it a more antique appearance.
