Hello All...
It's time once again for a new challenge
FLOWERS
It doesn't get much easier than that for a challenge!
Even though I have a TON of floral dies that I could have chosen from,
today's card is what I call a 'clean up' card. Using bits and bobs
laying around from other projects.
The dies I have used on my creation are:
Pink & Main Box Card Die Set (sentiment)
I've also had this image sitting around in my stash for
quite some time and Spring is the perfect time
to use it as the focus on a card. (Don't remember where it came from!)
But, it sure is pretty and worked well with
this scrap of designer paper that was used to
adorn a tissue box cover for my Spring Show last month.
I've die cut the frame a couple of times and used
the packaging from a Sue Wilson die set
to create the 'window' for my shaker card.
I was going to put the sentiment die at an angle on
the lower corner but then realized it fit the opening
so that was my finishing touch.
I love the shaker cards and yours is lovely! Great use of the dies and I love the tulip photo! Hope you have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card full of Spring goodness, I always love seeing tulips since I can't seem to have them here as all the bulbs get eaten every year...good use of the 'bits and bobs'!!
ReplyDeleteWowza! This is stunning Darlene!! The celebrate die fits that frame just perfectly. What gorgeous spring goodness!!
ReplyDeleteWow! If this is what you create from pieces laying around, it's gorgeous! Love the way you framed this gorgeous picture! Tulips were always my dad's favorite flower and I think of him whenever I see them. Fantastic card, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteOh, my!! Love that beautiful image of the flowers, so pretty!! I have red tulips blooming and yellow ones just starting to bloom. How great for the sentiment to fit inside the frame perfectly! Awesome use of your "bits and bobs"!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card ..with bits and pieces?? wow! That image is gorgeous and looks great framed!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous and I love that you made it a shaker. I wanted to get that Paper Rose die set and everywhere I looked it was out of stock. So I hope someone will restock it again.
ReplyDeletePretty as a picture! I should have such pretty things laying about on my desk. I love how the "celebrate" fits so perfectly in the frame. I just finished coloring some tulips today. Got spring and flowers on the brain, so this fits right in. Gorgeous, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteShaker cards are so much fun to make, receive, or give! This is such a lovely card, Dar! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just wonderful when all our "bits and bobs" just fit perfectly together to create a new project? I love it when that happens. Your shaker card is beautiful. When ever I think of Spring, I always think tulips. Must be this thing of being married to a Dutchman :-) Love, love your card.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening!
Hugs,
Lena
