Triple B (10/2026) Challenge

 Hello Friends!

Have you checkout our challenge blog called TRIPLE B?
It's all about using any of your stash but your project must have at least a BIRD, a BUTTERFLY or BLOOMS (flowers) visible on it.  Hence the title Triple B.

Here's this months inspiration board ...

 

 Here's what I've come up with . . .

I've used stickers from my Autumn Garden sticker book (ordered online) for the corner adornment on my white card front.  Then matted it with orange card stock.  Next I die cut a very old Memory Box (#99445) Dizzy Butterflies panel which I colored with Tombow markers.  A few Prima flowers and Nuvo drops were added for extra dimension.

Remember, our challenge begins on the 3rd of each month, ends on the last day of the month and Winner's are announced on the 2nd of each month.

Love Those Pretty Papers October 2026 Challenge

 Hello Dear Friends

It's a new month and that means it's time for a new challenge over on our
LOVE THOSE PRETTY PAPERS blog.

Today, our OPTIONAL theme is

GHOSTS and/or GOBLINS

 
Diane & I will be sharing a Themed pretty paper card as well as an Anything Goes card.

 Here's my card using today's THEME:

 

 Brutus Monroe has some FABULOUS design papers.  This one is from their Vintage Frights 6x6 pack.  I make A6 cards so with this being 2-sided paper, I thought it worked out perfectly to flip over the panel I had to cut off and use it to add a strip of color onto my neutral full sheet background.  

A strip of washi tape sentiment and a couple googlie eyes . . .
 this card is ready to freak somebody out!  LOL

Now for my 2nd card (anything goes) ... 

I have a couple packs of Ken Oliver 'Watercolored Memories' paper that I've had for years and decided to play with it today.    You might still be able to find this pretty paper out on ebay.

  

 I also discovered I had this Hearty Crafts 'Hummingbird' (HC12970) 3D topper that matched pretty well with the paper so decided to put them together in a design ... what do you think?

The circle cut was a left over from another project item that was hanging on the extra's pegboard so grabbed that too and popped it up using mini pop dots. Added a sentiment and VIOLA!!

Simply Clean & Simple (10/2026) - Something TINY

 Hello my friends and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card to share for our challenge blog using the CAS (clean & simple) design style. 
Our blog is called Simply Clean & Simple and today's OPTIONAL theme is:

 

 Something TINY
(keep it little)

  

 OMG ... I certainly struggled with this theme!  
Don't ask me why but I have 2 other cards sitting here that I created for this challenge then decided they weren't 'tiny' enough so 'third time's the charm' and came up with this creation.

 

I went to my Doni Collection as I knew Doni had a lot of 'little' stamps that she enjoyed coloring & fussy cutting for her beautiful CAS cards.  The stamp set I chose is from Stampingbella called 'Nice to SEE you Petunia' (eb284).  I don't see on their site that this set is any longer available.

(I don't understand the reason the 'u' is missing from all the 
words on the sentiment stamp ... but they are!)

STORY I MUST SHARE . . .

 

The strangest thing ... I think Doni must have been looking down and helping me choose which stamp set to use today as while I was thumbing through all her fabulous stamps I could actually SMELL her presence!  I had been to Doni's house many times helping her with her blog & computer issues and I swear, it was like I was standing inside her beautiful lime green craft room!  Such a happy place!  Sure do miss her!! 

I placed Petunia on the inside of my card . . .

 

 I hope the recipient will get a chuckle when they open this note card!  LOL

It's time once again for a new monthly challenge over on the
Two Old Bats Halloween Blog!

Just wait until you see what the team has created ... OMG!!  And to help us get our mojo going, Diane (yep, my Old Bat partner) has created this fabulous inspiration board. . .

 

 Here's what I've created for you today . . .

 

 I wanted to showcase this creepy image so merely die cut a Paper Rose frame for it.  I've had a pack of Martha Stewart 'crafting tape - Set of 8 rolls' in my stash for YEARS and it came in handle today to create my background.  

I was going to computer generate a sentiment that said 'Lucy ... I'm home!' but then decided against it since only 'older' folks like myself would understand lol. 

 Just to refresh your memory ... here's a recap of how things are done on our blog.

 Today's card is inspired by pumpkins & bicycles in the upper portion of today's mood board.

A couple of years ago, I purchased 2 or 3 Fall sticker books from an online company called Soto Studios.  Today, I've used a couple of stickers from their book called 'The Falling Leaves'. 

 After adding my stickers, I simply matted with orange card stock and my card was complete.
Simple yet effective I think!

Word Power (10/2026) Challenge

  Hello Friends . . .

It's time for a new challenge over on our WORD POWER challenge blog!

 Here's what I've created for you today . . .

 My background panel was a RAK from BFF Diane.  It was slightly too narrow for my A6 card so I simply grabbed a few Tombow markers that matched and a ruler and drew in a few vertical lines to give me the added width of color needed.  I also used those same markers for the matting on my 'Doni Collection' sentiment stamp.

Wood Block Wednesday (September)

 Hello Friends

Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday challenge up and running and I've been trying to join in each month as it gives me the opportunity to play with all my old wooden block stamps which don't get the love they deserve since clear stamps came about.

 

 

 Gosh, I haven't inked up this stamp in ages!!  The stamp is by Impression Obsession called 'Mixed Flowers' (#F1097) ... circa 2008.

 

I've pulled a sheet of designer paper from a Unity paper pack called 'Autumnal Blooms' for my background and my sentiment is a set by the TON.  

 

 

 

Tombow markers were used the coloring and a Creative Memories corner rounder was used to mimic the shape within the stamp.  

Why not pop over and check out her blog and play along ... you know you have wood block stamps that need some love just like I do!  LOL

Fun with 'Eclipse'

 Happy Day All . . .

A short while back I got hooked on the 'various' Eclipse Techniques and while cleaning up in my cave I spotted a paper pack that I thought would make beautiful cards using that technique ... here's what I've created . . . 

 

The following 2 cards are from the same paper pack (sorry ... I can't find a name on it ... weird) and I haven't finished with a sentiment or any additional embellishments.  But they will be ready for those additions when I need a quick & easy card.

 

 

I find this technique to be so addicting (and pretty) LOL!

 Ooops ... I just realized in writing up this post that I forgot to add my Nuvo drops in the upper & lower corners ... hope that doesn't disqualify me from entering.

Playing with my Snippets . . .

 Hello friends ... so glad you've stopped by today!

I've been doing my best to use up the various scraps/snippets I have on the work table and since I have a friend I haven't heard from in quite awhile (she's a very busy lady), I thought I'd create another fun snippet card and get it in the mail to her . . . just to let her know I miss her and am thinking of her.

Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Trees

 

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Trees

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on your projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

 Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

 

 

 

 Today I've used the Simon Says 'Forest Border' 3D embossing folder (SF209) for the focus of my card.  After embossing onto white card stock I simply & lightly sponged over the embossed trees using the residual ink left in one of my green ink large sponge dauber to create the color.  I used the blue dauber also to create the illusion of blue skies in the background.  

 

A scrap of white card stock was torn to create the snow and Diamond Stickles added for snowy sparkle.  The little deer is a part of the Memory Box 'Woodland Bridge Frame' die set.

Celebrating "90"

 Happy Friday Everyone!

I had a special request for a gentleman's (who is still an avid golfer ... bless him) 90th birthday card so I went in search of a sketch that might work for such an occasion.  I spotted this sketch over on the  Sunday Stamps #SSC395 challenge.  ✓  Here's their inspiration sketch . . .

 

 I've taken a few liberties with it so it was fitting for this 'young' man ... hope he likes it!!
