Two Old Bats Halloween Jump Start Challenge

Hello All and Welcome to my first posting for the

TWO OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE BLOG.

This is going to be fun ... be sure to check it out!

You may already know, but this new challenge blog was the brain child of my BFF Diane.  She & I were talking (actually FB messaging) and she commented that she had so many Halloween dies/stamps that never get used and how there wasn't an actual Halloween Only Challenge Blog out there ...

Well that's all she had to say and the next thing you know we are brain storming and I'm getting images together to get her approval on  . . . etc., etc.  And here we are less than a week later!  LOL

Do you like the name?
It was Diane's idea and I think it is PERFECT!!!  LOL

Our other challenge she also named ... in case you're not familiar, it's called Double D!  LOL  (not the bra size ... well maybe lol) but stands for Diane & Darlene.  Clever huh!!??

Here's what I've created for you today . . .

The challenge is ANYTHING GOES HALLOWEEN!
There are no particular theme or product you have to use to join in
but Diane will be creating a monthly mood board ... just as inspiration,
does NOT have to be followed to qualify as a winner or Top 3 choice.
OH!  AND, from time to time, we will be offering a PRIZE!!

My goodness ... most of my Halloween stash is SO OLD ...here's what I've used on today's creation.

Tutti Designs Trick or Treaters

TUTTI-484 Trick Or Treaters

Tutti Designs Scrolly Bat

TUTTI-478 Scrolly Bat

The Happy Halloween sentiment is by a company called Vap Scrap and was found in one of those $1  bins YEARS ago.  Also years old is the Studio G stamp set where the Spider came from.

My designer paper is probably more then 10 years old and came in one of those large 12x12 paper pads you used to find at stores like JoAnn's for $19.99.

I've die cut my trick or treaters twice ... once black & once white them off set them to create a shadow then popped them up with dimensional tape.  Aren't they just the cutest bunch!!  LOL

I've die cut my bat twice from black card stock then glued them together just at the center body to give the wings movement.  I guess I should have put some googlie eyes on him huh?  Hmmmmm will have to remember that for another time!  LOL

  10. Yes, I LOVE the name -- for both challenges! Someone is very clever and has a good sense of humor. Your card is super cute, Darlene! Our Halloween supplies don't get to see the light of day very often, so they're like brand new every year. Can't get rid of any of the old stuff! This is a fabulously fun challenge and I LOVE the dies you brought out for the jumpstart!

  23. Well, I thought it was only polite, since I was here, to come and congratulate you on your new challenge blog. It was actually another one I thought was missing from blogland's repertoire so I am over the full moon that you and Diane started it up. Then I can just enjoy all the fun while you gals do all the work. It's cool and awesome and I am so glad you have got off to such a fabulous start. I am sure I will blitz you with a few more entries before the froggy closes. Hugz
