Purse Full of Goodies

 Hello friends and welcome back!

Today's creation fulfilled two things I wanted to do ... use this new die I've had sitting here for more than a week now and play along in the Lavinia World Challenge.

The die is by Concord & 9th and is called 'Weekender Handbag'

The Lavinia Stamp I have used is called Moon Fairy

 LAV041 - Lavinia Stamp - Moon Fairy

I'm sure you noticed my title says 'Purse Full of Goodies' and then my photo doesn't show any 'goodies' ... well, here ya go . . .

Here are a couple of other photo angles to give you a better look at the purse.

** CONFESSION TIME **

There is a video on the website that is very helpful and I watched it right away when the die showed up in my mailbox ... expecting to find time to create right away!  WELL ... guess I should have watched it again BEFORE making today's project (vs AFTERWARDS lol) as I put the handles on wrong.  Well, not really WRONG ... it's just fine this way too (my opinion of course) and I omitted the closure strap as it would have covered part of my stamped image.

Let's just say 'my way' shows the dies versatility!  Right?  LOL

With this being the first time using this die and knowing I wanted to stamp on the front, I die cut all the pieces from white card stock and sponged them with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks.  Main coverage is Broken China and the accent color is Chipped Sapphire.

Isn't this image adorable?
Be sure to pop over and check out ALL of the Lavinia Stamps available at Dies R Us.

After stamping my image, I colored in the moon & her wings using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I had every intention of adding sparkle to her wings before taking the photos but of course I forgot ... but was a good idea so added it after the fact.

Be sure to check out the fabulous Give Away at Lavinia World (FB) is having!

No photo description available.

I hope you're inspired to TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT this weekend.
If you're anything like me, you're tired of watching TV and playing board games lol.  I'm hoping my Fall Craft Shows will be ON for 2021 so I think I might work up a few more of these purses to go along with the 'Every Day Purses' I already have done and ready to sell.

  3. Fantastic purse design and filled with such yummy goodies too. I admire all who do these types of crafts. I myself just leave them alone as I am not that patient to make them. I am sticking to just plain old cards.
