Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:
Everything is Coming Up
GREEN
GREEN
and here's an inspiration board Diane has created to help get you started . . .
For today's card, I have used A4 papers from a paper pack by The Paper Boutique called 'Lavender Fields' ... all purples & greens (love it ... HAD to have it ... sat in my drawer for over a year and finally opened it today! lol).
The flower is a die cut from an OLD K&Company pack ... green/purple/blue flowers, butterflies & dragonflies. Another item I've been 'sitting on' for over a year and finally decided to use.
The sentiment was stamped & die cut using the Pinkfresh 'Perfect Sentiments' stamp/die set. I took a couple of hours one day and stamped these sentiments in a variety of colors, die cut them then placed them into individual bags. Keeping them all in a clear box makes adding a sentiment to my cards very quick & easy.
Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!
Here's what Diane is offering as a prize today . . .

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! That Tulip is magnificent! And the dragonfly accent is marvelous! This is such a beauty! Love when we finally use something we have long coveted lol This is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Great design with the diagonals. Love the dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I just love how you can pull from your stash and create a beautiful card...you make it sound so easy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floral card and how fun to add a dragonfly! Great sentiment, I've been using my own a lot lately, so handy to have on hand!! Isn't it fun to have all those pieces on hand to put a card together, I have bags and bags of ephemera I need to use too!
ReplyDeleteThis maybe the very first card with a flower that could be sent to a male. I think it is first rate and an super cool card.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year when everything is coming up and out in a million shades of beautiful green! Your card is fabulous for springtime, Darlene! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhen you create something this gorgeous it makes you wonder what took you so long to dive into those packages, doesn't it? I currently have an incredible amount of not yet used stuff. It's actually a little overwhelming. I really love what you came up with, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the classy look of this card. And that dragonfly is the perfect final touch. What an elegant creation, my dear.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Darlene. I'm glad you're finding all these beautiful things in your old stash, I have so many boxes of old goodies that I'm a little intimidated at the thought of going thru them. I've often thought of donating them and haven't done so because I don't know who to donate them to :-) Beautiful Spring card, my friend. Lena xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Dar! Aren't you glad you dug into your stash? I too, have so much paper I can never use in my life time. It's just so hard to part with it because the next card might be the one to make me use it. Know what I mean? haha! A stunning card today!
ReplyDeleteYour papers and Ephemera came together just when it needed to, so pretty, I bet you will be creating with the goodies even more now that you finally opened them :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful ephemera images and layering for this card. Love the layout.
