Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist / Birds

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

BIRDS

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

The embossing folder I have used for today's card is one by Spellbinder called 'Forevergreen' (SES-026).  The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh called Thoughtful Greetings.  And the birds are by Elizabeth Craft ... Lovebirds #1268.

After die cutting the love birds, I left the cut inside the paper and colored with my Tombow markers.  Direct marker to paper for branches & leaves but used an artist brush w/water to watercolor using the markers for the birds.

I do hope you'll come check out our challenge blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!

Here's today's prize offering . . .

Challenges to share in:

Crafty Catz Challenge #668 - ATG w/twist of Use an Embossing Folder

Time Out Challenge -  Birds of a Feather (03/27)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

As always . . .

  1. This is such a pretty card! Great tip to leave the paper in the die cut for easier coloring, and a wonderful use of the embossed panel with the strips.

  5. These birds are so beautiful and look at them perched so prettily on your CAS card. I love how you have just the one strip of evergreen embossing. That's a good idea to leave the cut in the paper for coloring. I'd have those skinny branches wiggling all over the place. I really love this, Darlene!
