Double D Challenge - Skies

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm happy to say I am hosting today's challenge and today's theme is:

 SKIES

and here's an inspiration board I've created to help get you started . . .

There SO MANY different ideas swimming around in my head for this challenge but I ended up actually taking the 'easy way out'.   For my sky I've used a panel from the Lavinia Scene Scapes 'Moonlight Glow' paper pack.

Lavinia Papers - 6 x 6 - Moonlight Glow

From there, I decided to create a scene.  I wanted to use another Lavinia stamp called Large Owl
 LAV202 - Lavinia Stamp - Large Owl

and felt I needed a tree for the branch to be coming out of so turned to my Stampscapes stamps.

My sentiment comes from a Simon Says Stamp set called 'Thoughtful Messages'

The construction of this card pretty much speaks for itself. But if you have a question, feel free to leave it in my comments and I'll get you the answer.

So be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Challenges to share in:
Retro Rubber Challenge #154 - Anything Goes (all stamps are at least a year old ... stampscapes stamps are probably 10 years old)

Ooops almost forgot to mention the prize that you'll be playing for ... check it out.  A Lavinia background paper SIMILAR to the one I've used on my card today.  Wanted to mention that I did cut my panel down just a bit to create a 5 1/2  square card vs 6".

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!

Hope to see you at Double D!

  18. The paper gave you the most amazing start to your background, but then you made it so much more special. It all looks like a the most amazing piece of designer paper -- hard to know where the paper stops and your stamping starts. Beautiful card, Darlene!
