Peace On Earth Challenge Time

Hello Friends and welcome back to my blog!
SO happy you stopped by!

Today I have a card to share for the new challenge over on the PEACE ON EARTH CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE BLOG.  Of course the theme is Anything Christmas but we are providing an Inspiration Board with each challenge in case you need a boost!  We hope you'll come join in the fun!

 Here's the Inspiration Board for today's challenge . . .

As you can see, I was inspired not only by the black/white gingham but there's something about an old window frame that appeals to me so that's what caught my eye today.

I wasn't really sure where this was headed but I'm very happy with the end result.
I only had thin black/white gingham ribbon so this paper bow will have to do.
 Hope you like it!!

UPDATE ON YESTERDAY'S CRAFT SHOW

Just a quick note to let you know yesterday's show was FABULOUS!  Luckily I was still in the same location I have been for the past 10+ years so my 'regulars' knew right where to find me.   It was so good to see everyone again after 2 years and sales were GREAT!

Unfortunately I did not take any photos yesterday but here's a photo from a past show and my set up is typically the same.

I display my cards in this manner.  I use 'media' boxes which gives me 3 sections.  Each card is put into a clear sleeve with a photo of the inside verse on the back side.  That way I tell them if it's blank on the inside, it's blank on the back.  My categories change from year to year depending on the requests I receive during the year.  Unfortunately this year I've had a request for many Sympathy as well as Thinking of You/Hope You're Feeling Better cards.  Of course I always have a LOT of birthday cards!

My TOP seller are birthday card (and of course various other cards) ... I actually had one of my 'yearly regulars' stop by and purchase 30 cards!  And, the 2nd Best Seller are my tissue box covers.  I'm thinking after next week ends show at another local school ... I will only be doing the show location I did yesterday and that might be only for another year or so.  Setting up & tearing down is a lot of work and I'm not getting any younger!  LOL

Have a great day!

As always ... thanks again for stopping by!

  5. so pretty, like your decorating of the window and very creative with the bow, like the bird sitting at the window :)
That is great that it all went so well at the craft show. I do imagine that is a lot of work, not only doing the cards and packing them, but all the set up.

  7. I do love a window and, wow, you really stayed true to the inspiration board! That's so fun, and it turned out super pretty! I'm so glad to hear your craft show was a great success. I can't imagine all the work. Well, yes I can because I used to do craft shows, too, but mine were sewing. That was way TOO much work. Sure made some cute stuff. Geez, worked full time and did all that and a kid... Youth is for the young!
