Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!
Our theme, chosen by Sistah Birgit, is:
GIVE THANKS
(Does NOT have to be Thanksgiving)

What fun I had creating today's card. I knew I wanted to do something with Fall colors and came up with this CAS design. I used an OLD Spellbinder Maple leaf die and cut it out of a 5x8 piece of black card stock. That is what I used for my center leaf template.
Using what ink remained in a few of my fall colors large sponge daubers, I created my leaf background panel then stamped this awesome Pretty Pink Posh sentiment. Lastly I used basically the same colors and sponged around the outside edge of my white card stock panel before adhering it to my base card. VIOLA!! Quick & Easy!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful idea for a fall thank you card! It's all aglow with your sponging, and brilliant idea to make a stencil from the leaf die. We all have more toys than we realize at first glance!

ReplyDeleteIt may have been quick but it is very pretty, lovely job on the inking, like the sentiment in the inside of the leaf!
