August Woodblock Wednesday Challenge

 Hello Friends . . .

WOW ... it's been a busy couple of weeks but happy to say I had some time this morning to play and of course I just had to take part in the fun Woodblock Wednesday Challenge

where we get to blow the dust off those old wooden block stamps and create something fun.  Here's what I've come up with today . . .

I've used the old (2008) Northwoods Rubber Stamps sentiment stamp to create my background panel for this cute Heartfelt Creations boy fishing image.  Coloring was done with Tombow markers and a few Nuvo drops were used to pull the colors all together.   The (2000) Rubber Cottage Happy Birthday sentiment stamp was used for the inside of my card.

Quick and easy but perfect for the guys!

Hope you're having a fabulous day and staying cool in these extraordinary HOT temperatures.  I figure with all this heat, it might be a good day to stay in the cave and create!  Hope you're able to do the same!!

As always ... thanks for stopping by and

HUG(S) at the Sisterhood of Crafters

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme today is:

HUG(s)

Using up scraps of designer paper, I came up with this design
for today's theme.  I looked through my stamp sets and found this 'hugs'
stamp in the Honey Bee 'Sending You Sentiments' stamp set so
stamped that here & there over my background paper.

I've used the Sue Wilson (CED8307) Perspectives - Hugs die set
and another scrap of designer paper for my focus sentiment.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!
