Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Borders

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is 'DOTS'.

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

I have created this card using only two elements ...

The border embossing was created using a very old Marianne embossing folder (DS0907).  I've probably had this in my stash for at least 10 years and rarely think to use it  ... that will change after today!!

After embossing on a white card stock panel, I decided to back it with a rich navy blue card stock (even though it does look black).  Then thinking about what sentiment to use, I thought this would make a beautiful sympathy (or encouragement) card so went with this Elizabeth Craft 'Prayer' die (#1301).

I do hope you'll come check out our new blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!

Here's today's prize offering . . .

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

As always . . .

  1. Lovely card and very effective with the colours here, fabulously designed.. x

  2. Such an elegant card. What a pretty border embossing folder. Love how it actually cuts out the little areas too. This makes a gorgeous sympathy card.

  3. Beautiful card with the fabulous EB folder, love how it cuts out a few places to let color show threw, I think I have one too that does this, some place!! Anyhow elegantly created!!

  4. I wish I'd seen your card before I gave this folder away. At least I think I gave it away. I'll have to go look. This is so gorgeous, Darlene, and it does make a beautiful sympathy card. Sometimes I pay dearly for having a smallish stamp room.

  5. This is just beautifully done with that great embossing folder! I love the basic black & white for a sympathy card too!

  6. Such a lovely card! I love the font of the die cut, so elegant and perfect for a sympathy card.

  7. Very lovely card with a big nice text Darlene , chique
    Nice day Epie

  8. This is so elegant, and perfect for its purpose. I love that die/embossing background. Simply beautiful!
