Digital Ink Co. - SKETCH challenge

Here we are ... MONDAY already!! These weekend's sure do go by quickly, don't they!!! I hope yours was fun-filled!!

Well with that being said, it is time for even more fun with today's Digital-Ink Co. Challenge and today we have a sketch to play with! Personally, I LOVE sketches and had a great time creating with this one!!!

We can't wait to see your entries this week. Use Mr. Linky over on the challenge blog and please use Code DIC011 for SCS, PCP and SNR. Don't forget, all the images we (the DT) are using are available in the Store plus more!!

Today I am using this adorable "SALLY" image by Lil Diva Stamps for my creation!! I've used Prismacolor Markers and the new Prismacolor PREMIER Markers for my coloring. The designer paper is Basic Grey June Bug and the sentiment is by Hero Arts. Nestabilities were used to double mat my focus image & sentiment.

Be sure to check out the creations designed by my Co-Team Members for more inspiration with this sketch. It always amazes me how everyone can use the same sketch and they all turn out looking so different one from the other. What fun!!

It's Digital-Ink Co. REVEAL time ....

Well, it's time to "let the cat out of the bag" ... so to speak!!
It's REVEAL TIME over on Digital Ink Co.!!!

Earlier in the week I showed you this little "snippet" of my creation using a NEW IMAGE by Lil Diva Stamps which you can now purchase at the Digital Ink Co. Shoppe for your very own. And please, while you are there, be sure to check out the other NEW RELEASES by our other very creative creators. Okay ... are you ready??? Here is the entire creation:

Isn't this image wonderful! I just couldn't help but use these soft blues/greens to hopefully bring more focus to our lovely "peace" dove. The papers used are Mellow Moss, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and designer paper given to me by my friend (and this month's Guest Designer) Terri Snode. I've used Nestabilities classic oval and scallop oval for my matting and sponged around the image with light blue chalk before removing it from the Nesties die. Prismacolor markers have been used for coloring my image. My embellishments are Darice satin ribbon, Clear Dew Drops, Prima flowers and Basic Grey brad.
Please be sure to pop on over to my DT sisters blogs (links are in my sidebar) to check out the creations they've been teasing you with all week. Then be sure to make a bbbbbbbbb-line to the STORE to make your purchases ... (how do they say that ... While Supplies Last)!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL day!!

Good MONDAY Morning Everyone!!!

It's time for another fun challenge over on the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog. Today's challenge is to use these colors in your creation:

And, we're changing thing up a bit with the DT. Beginning today, each member will be creating using a different Creator's images ... that way you get a little taste of what's available through our creators over at the Digital Ink Co Shoppe. Be sure to check them out .... I have NO doubt you will find something you will love!! Another new element to our fun challenge blog is the addition of GUEST DESIGNER'S each month. For the month of November we have TWO wonderfully talented ladies to share their inspirations.

Please meet Linda, (Linda's Crafty Creations) and Terri (Terri's Cards N' More). We are thrilled to have these two ladies join us and can't wait to see what they have to share with all of us!!! Please be sure to pop on over to their blogs and show them some "blogger love" with your comments!

Now on to today's creation ...

I didn't seem to have any designer paper that would fit this color combination so I decided to create my own using the appropriate colors and sponge pods ... swiped across whisper white cardstock. The creator I am showcasing today is REECE'S DESIGNS ... isn't this adorable little "Beary Christmas" Bear sweet!! Be sure to click the link provided to see ALL of April's wonderful digi stamps available for purchase at our SHOPPE.

I always feel bad for those children who are born on CHRISTMAS ... it seems their BIRTHDAY never gets recognized like other children's due to the holidays. I have a friend ... her name is NOEL ... guess what day she was born, teehee!! I thought I'd send her a special little card this year! So it was with NOEL in mind that I created this card.

Please come join in on the fun! And, when you do, be sure to upload your DIRECT LINK to Mr. Linky over on the ChallengeBlog. If you are uploading to other online galleries (SCS, PCP, SNR), please use the keyword DIC009. The week's lucky winner will receive this awesome digi from WHIMSY DESIGN STUDIO.

Recipe for today's creation:
Stamps: Stamp Craft (Happy Birthday), Inkadinkado (Christmas), Fiskars (Baby)
Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Whisper White
Inks: Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette, Rose Romance, Versafine Black
Accessories: Spellbinder Nestabililities (Classic Circles), Small Sponge Pods, Prisma Pencils, Gamsol, Kaiser pearls, Holly charm (Joann's)

Is It Monday Already?????

Yes it is and that means it's time for another Digital-Ink Co. Challenge. This week we have a RECIPE CHALLENGE for you to play with and here is today's recipe: FABRIC ... GLITTER ... BUTTON(s) ... BOW.

The Design Team will be using digital images by the creator Jules Junk. Please pop over to the STORE and check out the images by Jules as well as all the amazing images available by our other awesome creators.

I chose to use Jules Truck Stamp and there is a GOOD REASON & STORY behind my decision!! Since the first thing on the recipe list is FABRIC, I wasn't sure where to begin! I don't do much sewing any more so needless to say, I don't have much in the line of fabric laying around! THEN THE LIGHT BULB CAME ON!! I saw this image and it had some meaning to me since there was a time in my life when I DROVE 18-WHEELER ... yes, you heard me right, I drove semi for a short period of time! Hey, I was adventureous and willing to give anything a try once ... THEN I GREW UP!!! I just happened to still have one of the flannel shirts I wore when I was driving and decided to cut the sleeves off of it and use a piece for my FABRIC portion of the recipe. For the buttons I chose to use SU Grommets and for the bows I did ribbon ties to match with the flannel material. I colored my image using Prisma pencils and Gamsol, matted it with Basic Black cardstock and bordered it with Gold Stickles. OH ... I don't know if you can see it in the photo or not ... but I used Crystal Effects on the windshield to add the illusion of glass glare.

I hope you enjoyed my creation & story ... now it's YOUR turn!! This week you'll be playing for a Sewn Together image and all you have to do is add your DIRECT LINK to Mr. Linky over on the Challenge Blog. Remember, if you are uploading to another online gallery (SCS, PCP, etc.), please use the keyword DIC0008.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I am still in Indiana with Joan Fricker but I'll be home later today and can't wait to see what you have created! PLEASE be sure to check out my DIGI-Sisters blogs for some awesome inspiration ... you can find links to them all on my sidebar. And beginning next week we have another treat for you ... we will have TWO Guest Designers who will share even more inspiration with you!! Have a great day!! Happy Stamping!!

AMAZING ideas and inspiration!! There will be a link to each of their blogs at the end of my post ... please check them out!!

I did make a CARD but it's a MONEY card for the holidays. We, the design team, are using images from another D-IC creator ... Our sponsor this week is another awesome creator ... M&M Designz. You'll want to check out Judy's images while you are visiting the SHOPPE too.

Details for my creation are as follows: Base card is 8-1/2" x 6-3/4" ... scored at 2-1/2" and 5-1/2". When taping the sides of the panel which will hold the money ... be sure not to use adhesive larger than 1/4" wide or your money won't fit. I have used a 1-1/4" circle punch for my center slide out 1/2 circle cut. Morty was colored with Prisma pencils, Gamsol & Prismacolor Markers. My designer paper is from the Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holidays pack and the felt snowflakes are from Creative Impressions. Decorating inside and out of these money holders is endless!

Sewn Together Creations ...

Happy Sunday Everyone ... I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend. Mine's been quite busy but that's okay ... it keeps me out of trouble, LOL!!! Today I'd like to share a few creations I've made using digital images by SEWN TOGETHER and these images and more can be purchased through the Digital-Ink Co. Shoppe.

First is "Donkey with Lightning Bug" which I've colored using Prisma pencils anb Gamsol. My background papers are from a DCWV Mat Stak and the sentiment is Inkadinkado. I've used my Fiskars Swivel Craft Knife to cut him out then gave him googlie eyes from Darice. (I love these images but the fact that they don't have eyes kind of freaks me out so any creation I make will have googlie eyes).I have several kids birthday cards to make for my Aunt to give her great grandchildren and this one is definately going in the stack!!

Another birthday card to add to the collection is this adorable little image called "Eris in Bird Bath". The background paper used on this card is from the Basic Grey Marrakech pack. It has little elephants on it and I though that would work perfectly with Eris. I've done my coloring with Prisma pencils and Watercolor pencils. Though it' difficult to see, I've used Crystal Effects on all the bubble to add a little shine and dimension. My Happy Birthday sentiment is by Anita's and it was in my scrap bin just begging to be used on this creation. My base card is Soft Sky cs and I've used Grey cs for the matting around my Eris image. Last but not least, I've used Darice googlie eyes on Eris and I really like the outcome. I hope my Aunt's great grandchildren will like it too!

Now for the last creation today, I'd like you to meet "Morty the Moose in Sleigh Bells". I think Morty is so cute although a little sad looking ... maybe he's not allowed to play all the reindeer games yet!! LOL!! Morty was also colored with Prisma pencils & Gamsol. My base card is old ollive and the designer papers are Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday from JoAnn's. I've used my Nestabilities Labels 1 for my sentiment panels and the flowers are Prima with Creative Impressions brad centers. I've used dimesional tape to give Morty a little dimension and there you have it!!
Thanks so much for taking time today to stop by and take a peek at my work ... I hope somewhere along the way you find inspiration!

Prisma pencils were used for the coloring on this image and Nestabilities were used for cutting the oval & scallop ovals. The flowers were created using a Martha Stewart flower punch and the gems are by Hero Arts. The background paper had no markings on it so I'm sorry I can't tell you who the maker is ... A Sketch - Recipe Challenge Combination ...

Today I finally found time to work on a couple of challenges. I decided to combine the RECIPE challenge over on the Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday blog with the SKETCH challenge over on the Get Sketchy blog ... and here's what I have come up with.
My image is a digi from Jules Junk which can be purchased over at the Digital-Ink Co. Store. Be sure to check out all the digi's available ... they are awesome!!! My bacground papers are Graphic45 and K&Co. Ancestry. I have bordered each panel using a gold Pilot marker with the exception of the main image of course, and that was matted using gold metallic paper and cut using a Nestabilities oval scallop die. I've used watercolor pencils and a blender pen for my coloring ... the gold satin ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the garden green sprigs are from the Martha Stewart "branch" punch.
Thanks for stopping by today! Now I'm headed back to my craftroom for more fun. If all goes well, I'll have a few more creations to share with you over the next day or so. Happy Day Everyone!!!

A "Fairy" Simple Post ...

I've always been intrigued with "silouette images" and couldn't wait to design with this awesome digital stamp. This digi was created by Stitchy Stamps (Kathy) and is available at Digital-Ink Co.

Being a silouette, my first instinct was to stick with the basic Black & White layout with a pop of color ... for instance Red as I have used here. OR maybe Teal, Purple, Lime Green ... well, you get the picture! After laying out my pieces, I didn't like ALL the black & white so I added the red flourishes to the striped designer paper.

NOW for something a wee bit different using the same Fairy2 Silouette image by Stitchy Stamps. I put this together from pieces out of my scrapbasket. Although you can't see it very well, I've used my Creative Memories Decorative Cutter for the background designer paper to give it a little more movement. Again, I didn't like the solid black color so stamped a flourish onto it with Stazon White to mimic the wings of the silouette. The white Nestabilites oval had been sponged with orange for a different project but was put aside at that point in time and works perfectly for what I was trying to achieve here!!

Using my trusty Fiskars Swivel Craft Knife, I cut around my silouette image before attaching with dimensional tape ... in my mind, it kind of gives you the illusion she's walking out of a mist ... can you see it????? I used a Martha Stewart floral punch with another scrap of designer paper to create my embellishments. I can't wait to see what else I can come up with using this digital stamp.

Well, that's it for today! Ooh wait ... please be sure to check back on Monday, Sept. 7th (I know it's a holiday but stamping continues on ... hahaha!) for the very FIRST challenge on the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog. I'll be there ... hope you are too!!

Have a WONDERUL, FUN-FILLED, RELAXING weekend!!
