Mojo Monday Fun!

Hello Dear Friends!
I don't know about you, but I do enjoy a good sketch to get my
creative juices flowing and I find I truly enjoy the sketches over on the

Here's their current sketch:

Here's what I have to share with you today . . .

How excited was I to recently win the giveaway over on the No Time to Stamp Blog.
Sharon has some AWESOME stamp sets and you really owe it
to yourself to check out her Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
I won her latest release shown here and they are AMAZING!

SO ... now I have my sketch and I know what stamps I want to
use ... just needed to figure out my background!
I wanted something subtle so I decided to create a background using Tim Holtz oxide distress inks and I'm very happy with the outcome.

The cross I have used today is a very old Spellbinder 'Crosses 3' die (S2-148) and the background frame is one of my newer dies from Penny Black called 'Elegant Stitching' rectangle frames (51-440).

I've used a bit of dimensional tape behind the cross (which was diecut from DCWV foil paper) to add dimension.

Along with my sympathy stamp, I have added a few little butterflies from another OLD stamp set which is from the JustRite company called 'Botanical Butterflies'.

Here's a peek at the inside of my card using another sentiment stamp from my Stamp Simply stamp set  and the little flower stamp is from that same JustRite set . . .

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  3. Sharon does have a very nice store and lucky you to win the new release! Congratulations! You've used the sketch, the sentiment, and your dies very nicely and, not only that, you made an awesome DOX background. Next on my list, for sure. Made up my mind. Pretty card, Darlene!
